Thanks for posting this! I went school in Norman in the early 90's and did his sunday rides that started from his bike shop buchanan bikes at campus corner. That was a good shop and he had a good club, and that was one of the best things that existed in Norman. I learned a lot about biking from those rides. I seem to recall at the 89er stage race in the 90;s the coors light team and several big american pros particpated. Great event!. Freddy also made some quality custom bike frames.

I remember this race and the power slide. If you've gotta crash because of the water, at least the water saves your bacon on the slide! :)
