    Universities, like trade schools where invented to pass on complex skills. Like Medical Doctor, Engineer, Lawyer and other such very complicated professions. But then the Government got involved, by pushing the idea that everybody should go to college, and getting into loaning the money to do that. So the various Universities degraded themselves by offering degrees in non-useful things, for students who weren't capable of learning the things they traditionally taught. I loath to call them "fields of study".

    So you can actually center text if you make it a group and move it based on the center point of the group. Just ungroup it afterwards, and then copy it where needed with the copy command so you can offset it exactly. No eyeballing necessary!

    I appreciate the effort into this video, unfortunately due to the poor sound quality it was hard to follow. Also, to have the video divided up into different sections would make it easier to find exactly what I'm looking for without having to watch parts which is not relevant to me. Thank you for the effort though.

    What if I have a specific issue and need to ask a question? And I really know that you have a FAQ section. I mean questions such as: "My VGO is completely grayed out. I can't change, activate or deactivate anything there. What is a potential reason for that?" I had already paid for an online course $585, it included two guided sessions with a trainer and the result is that my template is completely messed up. I was not able to get to a point where would be able to understand how to configure an electric template that is FULLY functional. Would I learn that in your course?

    How does it decide on the Panel Equipment size? Does it draw in just a random square of can you set it to use your firms Equipment Blocks or Detail Items for a look we are accustom to? What about feeder tags, Grounding, Wire Tags? This is all handled by the Text information within the square panel?

    • @KowabungaStudios
      @KowabungaStudios 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The rectangle is the same size for all equipment currently. Panels, gear, transformers are the same size. Because this is all text it is also editable. Currently we do not have a feeder/wire tag size option. All of the information is pulled from the panel information in the model.

  • @christopherwoodcock2170
    @christopherwoodcock2170 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does this only work with Specialty Equipment or Electrical Fixtures & Electrical Equipment as well?

  • @spdengineering2169

    I put my circuit number label on the plans. Does it have an option for placing those tags at the same time?

    • @KowabungaStudios
      @KowabungaStudios 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      At this time, it is not annotating or tagging the device. It will just place it behind the equipment selected.

  • @bkmitch100
    @bkmitch100 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I see the demand factor gets applied to the individual panelboards. Does it also get applied to the over all system. Ex you have 10 receptacle panelboards. Does it take 100% of the first 10K of receptacle load of the total sum of the 10 panelboards and 50% of remaining receptacle loads?

    • @KowabungaStudios
      @KowabungaStudios 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it will apply it to the system as a whole

    I have found that this does not work if the "Underlay" box is checked in the View Template for the specific link. If unchecked, things may not display properly. knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2016/ENU/Revit-Collaborate/files/GUID-EB571589-C335-4525-A8BE-CF1A2493B2F5-htm.html?AID=10282382&PID=9069228&SID=FE728519F86E9B2051E644D6FFFFFFFF&afsrc=1&mktvar002=afc_us_deeplink&cjevent=db69676474f511ea829900ef0a240610&affname=9069228_10282382

  • @ihatethetv
    @ihatethetv 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tip: Instead of just disassociating that location field from a parameter, if you assign it to a new parameter then the text won’t be lost when you change or update the template. You just have to give Revit a place to store that text.

  • @ihatethetv
    @ihatethetv 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Another question: Have you ever checked revit’s math on panel schedules? I’m a bit wary on it. And have you gotten load classification summaries to show up reliably on the bottom of panel schedules? I’ve found that Revit likes to leave load classifications out unless you explicitly list which ones you’re using, which is a big time hassle

    • @KowabungaStudios
      @KowabungaStudios 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You do have to be diligent as to associating the loads correctly, but the math is correct when done properly
