I have to admit, I hardly ever throw one!! I used to when I fished the rivers slot but since starting to fish tournaments I just haven’t thrown them a lot!

I have caught some fish using a fluke on a Carolina rig! Throw a light barrel weight with a 2.5’ leader after the swivel!

Yes it is!! I think every angler has that one lake they just can’t figure out! Old Hickory was actually a really good place back in the day. A couple of BassMasters tournaments happened out there but now it’s just Old Dinkery lol 😂. Thanks for watching!!

Just a question, have you tried the Geecrack Bellows shad yet? If so, what is your opinion of it?

I have not tried them yet, I actually just seen those on tackle warehouse the other day. It’s a very unique bait. I might get some to try out on the channel!

Some lakes are finicky about getting bit on a chatterbait, I have found as soon as I slow my retrieve down I will get more bites on it!

One of my tricks with the chatterbaits is varying up the speeds. Try a medium paced retrieve and then every 3 seconds or so give it 2-3 super quick cranks. To the bass it look like whatever baitfish is being followed knows that it's being tracked and is trying to bolt away for the escape. More so then not when you go to make those fast crank "getaways" is when the bass will smack it. Number one thing is varying the retrieve. Also chatterbaits excel much more when It's windy out or in murky or stained water.
