I just don't understand how you get it to show the front half of the van... My white clipping mask covers that up. Everything else works with the image, but how do you get the base layer to show through the clipping layer on the front of the van? Does my question make sense? Help!
This is great nice work, keep it up!
When you applied the image and it placed clipped already did you say you pressed the up or off key? I couldnt understand
At minute 7
@@edgarvigil I think it's "alt"
This is a very lazy way to do this, when I saw how the polygonal lasso tool was used so sloppily, I knew the end result was going to be as generic as it was.
cry.... I doubt that any professional would watch the basics?! He just try to explain to some "noobs" like me..

thanks bro i like easy tutorials like this
Great tutorial and it's just what I'm looking for for a project, but I'm running into trouble with my "details" layer. The levels aren't adjusting quite right, but the bigger problem is that when I switch that layer to "screen" it (the Layer) goes completely white. Any thoughts?
Hello John, Sorry for delayed response. The detail layer should be on the very top ( 1. Detail (screen) > 2. Image (multiply) > 3. Clipping mask white ). You might have to adjust the "Fill" to get the best result.
Great video! Something about the door text looks 'unbalanced', I would've centered it on the door, rather than place it at the bottom right. Possibly just a matter of opinion.
where did you get the photo of the car from ?
+René Jensen, From google search
+Graphics Connection thanks . though how do you print it on the large format printer after ?? the output ?
This way of designing a vehicle wrap is not really the right one. It's easier to find vehicle outlines and design in Illustrator, because these files are designed on scale. These documents are better to send to a printer. It's nice for a presentation though.
René Jensen I have the same question
René Jensen c
Very good tutorial. Easy to follow.
+Rock&Ride Thank you!
Now tell me what format are you going to export this to the print shop so they can actually do this on a car.
+grav3ns3n, It depends on the print shop requirements. PDF based on Illustrator Default should work on almost any RIP software, but it’s safe to contact you print shop they might even provide you with PDF Presets.
Graphics Connection Thank you Sir, but when you are exporting the pdf files what grpahics are saving there? I doubt the print shop will be satisfied with a picture of a car on a pdf file.
Your print file shouldn’t have the car picture in it. So when your client approved you proposal you would create a separate file for printing. I will be addressing your questions in my next video, so stay tuned.
Thank you very much Sir!
