I love it, unfortunately you'll have to farm a bit to get it. It's the Cuckoo Knight Set, easiest way to get it is from the knights near the East Raya Lucaria Gate grace

It's a great question (so massive text wall cause I kinda want to write an explanation), because with slower weapons you are more likely to be close or even at the end of a swing animation when she jumps up for waterfowl. If you are using a weapon like a colossal, which you are 2 handing (this is important), there is actually time to run directly away and make a well timed jump. This only works with these kinds of weapons though, because your arms / elbows and their associated hitboxes are raised up above your waist. With weapons where your arms are lower, she will scrape you (hardly any damage so you could do this for casual runs, but wouldn't work for hitless of course). Then after that, you can dodge the rest of it how you please. I like to dodge in and to the right because it's the most forgiving frame wise (27:25), and afterwards you can stand still and back up for the end. I actually dodge this a bit different now and walk in a little circle at the end, at 17:55 in my more recent Godfrey axe video I do it like that. You could also just go for an AOW like BHS because it would definitely make some of it smoother when close range. Running away isn't always something that works though, and it isn't consistent because of walls in the arena, so honestly if you're going for hitless the circle strat is worth learning. At 27:23 I'm even basically mid swing, but with circle you can still dodge it. It's just pretty tricky to learn, at least for me, and I'm still not great at it. If you want to learn it and you're on PC, the best way is to install Elden Ring Tool (and disable anticheat per their instructions), and use "repeat enemy action" when she waterfowls. Then just practice that way

@@Avienity Nope! I’m like 90% sure that medium load has no different running speed, which is all that matters for a no roll, so you could definitely armor / drip up for doing this. I just have no armor so my blue dancer charm gives more damage

@@HeyItsBlazeX i tried med vs light roll and couldnt outrun his initial attack so there is a bit of diff on running speed just not sure if its true with running behind him

@@Avienity I asked some people and found a couple videos online. It's a really good point because I never actually checked, but it does seem like light/medium/heavy are all the same sprint speeds (but I'd like to find more examples tbh). Light load does visually have a different animation, but I don't notice a speed diff. Assuming this is true, what you are noticing here is that the spread of his beams are actually random on the ground. Sometimes they protrude out more, in my attempts I got hit a few times because they protruded out. I somewhat fixed this by locking on at the last second to run in a wider angle around him, but idk if it works 100% of the time

@@Avienity Haha yeah pretty much. I didn’t actually grind to this level for these videos, I didn’t feel the need when I’ve already played this game so much. If you’re on PC you can use CE to spawn whatever you want. I play on so many different save files / characters that I think my highest vanilla NG save is only like NG+3 lol, and somewhere around level 200

@@Galamoth06 Yep! That’s exactly it. Whether or not he does the two follow up stabs (in phase 1) or the 1 long follow up stab (in phase 2) is a distance calculation. If you roll into the first stab, he will do the spin which is his close range follow up. If you roll horizontal to the stab (or back if you are close to him), he will do the follow ups. You can then strafe these for 2 charged R2s with iron balls (or 1 CR2 in phase two). I have practiced him quite a bit, but definitely need more practice, however, I haven’t seen him stray from doing this. Maybe sometimes in p2 it seems like he can spin even with you dodge horizontally, but that could totally be because I was in the wrong position. Idk if this strat is the most efficient, but to me it feels like it provides more punishes. There’s even something else you can do here to increase your dmg even more. When he does his slow spear drag, you can duck under it with an iron balls CR2. The positioning is pretty strict though, so I didn’t figure it out when I made this video. It seems more consistent when you lock off and turn your head slightly away from his spear side as he stabs

Hahaha. Yeah it takes practice. I like to put on music / streams / or just call with people and practice a boss. Once you learn it well enough then you can go for the attempt. Learn and then win as Ginomachino says

@@jacobolson1715 Yeah I think the main thing is that in p2 when he does the huge snake move, you have to have a bit of space behind you. I don’t think it’s too big of an issue though but I do want to fight him more. You can see in this video that this exact thing almost caught me, because I ran into a railing dodging away from that move, but I still had enough space. The move is tricky, but not BS I think. I love this boss

Oh boy... I'm working on it. I want to do it without parries, but I'm in between whether to use backstepping for his frame trap, or just playing around it. He's a very difficult boss though for sure so I may save him for near last and practice some other bosses first. Glad you enjoyed this one!

@@HeyItsBlazeX yeah def, i managed to beat him normally after three days and while its very easy to dodge everything he does in phase 1 I still have no clue how to dodge like half his phase 2 moves 💀i just brute force it

@@TheFallen3 Haha glad you enjoyed. But yep you can jump that attack! Do it a bit earlier than you think, or at least don’t do it last second, and you can get a light attack in with quicker weapons. In p2 you can actually sprint towards the snake and get an attack in as well before he lands and explodes, which I didn’t know when I did this attempt.

To be honest I have no idea I just beat my first playthrough. I'd say it probably is though, but it deals holy dmg so I am just assuming a lot of DLC bosses have holy resist just like base game. Might be wrong, but just keep that in mind and double check boss resists

219 is definitely great enough for running this. Talismans and weapon upgrades are nearly all you need to follow a build. The same talismans I'm using in this video should work, but you might want to replace the red-feathered branch sword unless you're ok with getting one shot. These talismans are dmg focused however, so for the DLC I generally recommend talismans for defense instead, but it's all up to you. For the sword, go with whatever AOW / affinity you want, you could even change the affinity for specific bosses based on what they are weak to. Lions claw is an S tier AOW for greatswords, but there are others. Cragblade is great for stance break

All stats maxed for these videos, but for this weapon you’d want to go with quality (equal mix of strength and dexterity)

Dragon Halberd, from the Dragonkin Soldier boss in Siofra River

For Nagakiba I'd recommend dex being your main dmg based level. In a base NG playthrough by end game I'd recommend a good bit of health (45-60 Vigor based on your personal preference), some endurance based on your preference, and most other levels in dex. For talismans I'd recommend Shard of Alexander if you are using Unsheathe, Winged/Rotten Winged Insignia/Millicent's Prosthesis if you like light attacking a lot, Ritual Sword Talisman, green turtle talisman or the axe talisman. Lots of other good options here Change the affinity to blood/cold/sharp or whatever else to get some extra dmg if you'd like. You'll find this weapon is quite good no matter what level / NG you are in, especially if you use the unsheathe ability. When you run a good weapon you'll notice that most things in a build can be based on your personal preference. Even at RL1 it's a great choice, so you have a lot of flexibility here. This was kind of a text wall but hope this helps!

Agreed, it'd be interesting to see how fast bosses go down with star fists. Even at RL1 they are so strong
