UTVology
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 30 มี.ค. 2021
We are UTV enthusiasts based in Utah that love the outdoors. This channel is our outlet to let people know about cool and exciting areas to explore in their Side by Side. We love mountain trails, desert trails, rock crawling and more! If you have an area that’s awesome please reach out. We’d love to highlight it. We will also be showing off UTV products, accessories, and UTV’s in general. After all, Ology means “the study of” and we are UTVology so it’s only fitting that we study everything UTV related. We consider our info the non-scientific study of UTV’s. This isn’t an income source so please be patient as we get better at posting content that’s easy and fun to follow. Subscribe and join us through our learning curve of TH-cam and we’ll show you fun places to explore. We have a group called UTV Utah on Facebook that promotes responsible recreation. Be smart & keep our areas clean & open so that we can continue to enjoy our public lands. Look us up on Facebook, TikTok & Instagram.
Exploring an old saloon, brothel and home built into a Boulder.
Our latest episode takes us to the Mineral Mountain range in Utah. A 28 mile mountain range located just North of the town of Milford in Beaver County.
Very easy terrain that doesn’t require 4 wheel drive but it may be helpful in the winter months when conditions may be more slippery or muddy.
We parked here near the Blundell geothermal plant to begin our adventure:

From there we headed North to Roosevelt Hot Springs and Mags Brothel located here:
38°30'12.6"N 112°50'60.0"W
goo.gl/maps/uhhBJSWUVJTwYEUb9
Mags Brothel was a booming area back in the 1870’s with a complete Saloon, geothermal swimming pools and complete brothel. The miners, travelers and others would stop in the replenish supplies, use the pools and have a drink. It’a crazy to imagine such a place in the middle of nowhere was so hustling and bustling but it was.
Granite Peak is the highest peak in the area and reaches 9,578ft above sea level. The Mineral Mountains live up to their name and feature amazing amounts of various rocks and mineral deposits. Obsidian is fairly abundant in the area as well.
The “Rock House” is literally a house built into a rock. There’s a lot of legends, myths and other stories surrounding this house. We were told by the locals that it was a house built by an old moonshiner that would supply the brothel with moonshine for its patrons. Another story was that a moon who lived as a hermit made the place to escape and get away from others. The true story remains a mystery. Sadly the area was severely burned in a fire back in 2007 which burned much of the home and allowed flooding to damage the interior as well.
The exact location of the Rock House won’t be posted. Get out and explore and you will find it. Maybe in a future episode we will share more about this unique structure and try to find out more insight on its origins and back story.
Please do a us a favor and like, follow and subscribe. This is just a hobby and we hope our videos become more and more informative and the quality gets better. You can find us on TH-cam, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

Project Offset Heims install today. If you have big tires, forward a-arms or portals these heims are supposed to make steering less likely to get bound up when rock crawling. We got these from Kryptonite Products and went to work on getting them installed. They build some very high quality stuff. These will not fit your stock tie rods, they will fit Kryptonite, ZRP, Assault and hand full of oth...
Exploring Tabernacle Hill and Lava Tubes in Utah in our SxS with UTVology
มุมมอง 9663 ปีที่แล้ว
Lava tubes A fun place to take the family and explore. You can hike the lava tubes but pack a lunch and drinks because can literally spend the entire day out there. We parked our truck and trailer near I15 and drove about 25 minutes to the Lava Tubes. The area is pretty well signed with directions so getting lost shouldn’t be easy. The lava tubes extend for hundreds of yards and you can explore...
How I secure my large UTV’s / SxS with tie downs.
มุมมอง 1713 ปีที่แล้ว
I’ve used a lot of different methods to tie down my machines over the years. This is by far the best solution I have used before. The wheel nets from Mac Custom Tie Downs can secure your machine from going forwards and backwards as well as keeping it from bouncing. If you’ve got a Side by Side, SxS, UTV or other type of Offroad machine you may want to look into some wheel nets. There’s multiple...
We explore Logandale, Nevada in UTV’s.
มุมมอง 5K3 ปีที่แล้ว
We explore Logandale, Nevada. An awesome area between Mesquite and Las Vegas. This place offers some incredible riding and everything from sand dunes to mountain trails and rock crawling. Logandale is located in Clark County, Nevada. It was an unincorporated town in Clark County until 1981 when it was merged with Overton to create the unincorporated town of Moapa Valley. The community is the ho...
What do you do with all that extra strap from your toe downs?
มุมมอง 1073 ปีที่แล้ว
Do you tie something down and then have a ton of strap left over? What do you do with it? This is what I do that seems to work well. It’s easy too! Tie down Trailer UTV SxS Strap Tow Jeep Truck
Before the atv tour group was riding there everyday, it was nice. Now people come out and leave trash and the trails are bad.
Is Logandale as fun as Kanab trail system? Most videos are only showing flat trails and we want rock crawling. 😬 Thx
Well this was a short-lived channel.
if you see the rubber on the rocks be careful
Logandale trails suck. I wouldn’t go.
Great video, thanks for sharing 👍
We really enjoyed visiting Logandale, had a great time!
Do you offer a GPS track anywhere or just the GPS coordinates and you are on your own to find your way around? Just curious!
Looks like a great half way point to meet family from St George for a day ride.
Looks like a fun spot!
Great video and informative. I’ll have to take my family there when I visit Utah next year
I’ve never seen anybody make it out of the rim on a two seat rzr. That’s some great driving!!! Nice cage too. Gotta get me one of those🍺
I appreciate the message to explore respectfully. Not enough people do that, and every time I go down to this location it looks a little worse, from people leaving trash and disturbing rocks and other things. It's bad enough that the cinder cone is being mined out, but it's frustrating to see beautiful and unique places like this slowly destroyed from visitors who don't respect the area and the people coming after them. I'd love to explore it in an ATV some time, I just drive a Prius down there so I can't really go farther than Tabernacle or Ice Springs. Can't wait to check out Pahvant and Deseret one day. Glad you guys got to do this! I bet the kids will remember it forever.
Thank you. We try to always spread the message to leave things better than you find them. Fortunately on this trips adventures we didn’t find any trash and it appeared as everyone out playing was being respectful. Safe travels.

Awesome! We will be in Utah to off-road this summer and moving to Vegas in December. (Busy year) excited to see trails you guys post! It’s nice to have info or a idea of what to expect when checking out a new place.
Thank you! Hopefully we’ll be able to share some more great areas.
Gonna have to hit it one day.
It’s definitely an area worth exploring. Safe travels.
