I think sweat has corroded the inside. It's rusty af. I have 2 infinities. My 2nd one goes from 0 sensitivity to 10 all by itself. Really weird. I run hot because I weld really thick metal. I wonder if too much heat for too long messes with it?

Thanks for the information. I have a question about the welding. I do welding but not very often and I never weld inside it's always outside in the open air. But I do the galvanized steel welding. Do you think I steel should wear the respirator? Thanks

Can you explain more about the course? What was the test like? How was the course delivered? Did you have a live teacher? or was it video-based / eLearning?

After wearing a respirator 8 hours a day can get really old after a month so i started using a small powerful fan i set it right next to where the arc is and have the fan suck the smoke away from me. Dont get me wrong that doesnt work out in every situation but I always have my respirator on me when the fan doesnt work. Regardless there is nothing fun about welding galvanized.

I appreciate the recent review here. I'm looking at getting a premium hood like this. I'm between the Miller Infinity and the Lincoln Viking 3350 right now. I've heard that this Infinity is "heavy" but I don't think I'm going to be welding for 8 hours a day, I'm just getting into it and I'm doing home hobby welding, and auto-body, 4x4 armor projects.
