Don't really understand entering the BCBC just to get back to $10,000 and then stopping (you said someone else you know did that). The $2500 that goes towards the prize pool is a huge takeout on top of regular track take out so it only makes sense entering if you are playing to try to access the prize pool. Otherwise just don't enter or sell your entry (if you qualified from a feeder) and play your own cash on the side without that take out.

I still think Fierceness should win. More big wins in several grade 1 races and many in dominating fashion and honestly Fierceness ran the best race of any horse in the BC Classic. Ironically for a horse that was inconsistent at the start of his career, Fierceness post Kentucky Derby became one of the most consistent horses. Sierra Leone finally put it together in the big race but got the benefit of a huge and extreme pace set up and in general to long in between wins for that one.

When you have big prices you like the biggest advantage is you can move your bank roll up substantially without having to necessary go all in. I think the key is finding your best opinions and making sure at the end of those races you have moved way up to a significant number that you have targeted if you are right. Getting to spread out or small bets on lots of races I think is a recipe of getting bled out and never making a significant enough score even when right. You also had a big advantage that you would have had in that you liked Citizen Bull on the 1st day which is huge because in comparison if your best plays are on day 2 your bank roll can get eaten up with the minimums.

Also on tapit trice. Do u think he's going to catch up to 7 to 8 horses in front of him then out close the 4 to 5 closers running with him. 95.5 percent ot all our preps and big races including over seas won by horses near lead. Tapit 2xs only horse that won off pace but in 3 horse field.
