I lost my PS2 in a flood a couple of years ago, so I understand the pain 🥲 I still want to get a new one, but at least I can play Off The Rails on Steam in the meantime

@novacoastertycoon oh wow so sorry to hear that, as my sister and I had a PS2 from 2000 till around 2017 with most games as we liked it very much, till something started happening to it, would turn on but not ready any or most discs we put in PS1 or PS2, then somehow stopped working, couldn't find no one to take it to fix or repair, we were on tight budget when our grandma (passed 2020) was around, ended up sadly tossing the PS2, kept some ps1/2 games we loved very much, then lost most of them which got taken I assume, and had to sell what ever we had left so we can have money to take care of ourselves with! Never ever forgotten about that!

Same! I say this all the time, but I would pay really great money to go to a real-life theme park where some of these designs existed!

Yeah the whole thing is just a super complex Mobius design! I honestly didn't realize that was the case until the making of this video! It's crazy how you can make new discoveries in this game 25 years later!

It actually did make it into both RCT2 and Classic! It sadly wasn't in RCT3 though

Yeah these designs are absolutely some of the coolest Chris Sawyer put together! There's a reason why most of the Looping Coaster DLC designs made it into the base game of RCT2!

The design is indeed based on a Vekoma SLC! The name certainly is fitting for a coaster that would bang your head up that much 😂

I didn't really use a lot of Steeplechases from what I remember, but this is definitely one of the hardest parts about building one of those coasters!

@@novacoastertycoon yes and also In rct3 I built a b&m flying coaster so tall large fast with about five inversions and all three stats have medium stats! I wonder why the flying coaster in rct3 has medium lower stats? Makes no sense to me and no one will ride it or pay for not it being less intense!

Lmaooo it's a coaster from Thrillville: Off the Rails remade in OpenRCT2

Yeah I believe in the late 90's and early 2000's steep and vertical lifts hills were not very common, so Chris Sawyer didn't add them into the game. But thank goodness for OpenRCT2! It's made making many of these designs so much easier!

I think the different color actually made me like the ride less as a kid because of how different it was, but I appreciate it much more now as an adult. And I absolutely agree with you! I wish all of the pre-built RCT rides were real!!!

They're honestly just ok. The new themed trains and flat rides are nice, but most of the scenery doesn't mesh as well with the rest of the game. It's a cool concept though!

Well I been working on most time twister wacky worlds scenarios that I thought was Interesting as they were pretty interesting including the one Metropolis skyscrapers that I couldn't ever do buildings like that in my entire life! So I picked most of them just not all of them like Great Wall of China and Alcatraz Prison Island Woodstock those real life based scenarios as I wanted to leave those at peace like in real life as im having less limited time with life ongoing things!

@@MarkFendy-sw7hn Some of the scenarios are really fun! I've actually been to Woodstock before. It's a really cool place. My favorite of the DLC scenarios is definitely Fun at the Beach. It has a really unique setup of a few of the park's rides being cut off by land that you have to purchase.

@@MarkFendy-sw7hn you can also probably tell that I used one of the DLC parks for this coaster design! The urban scenery is definitely one of my favorites from the entire pack!

Honestly I would've done it already if it wasn't such a long ride. It's on my list of rides to do though. Expect it sometime in December! :)

I usually use Stingray or Turbine instead of Shuttle Loop myself cause I do feel kinda bad using it in most parks lmao

The coaster was originally made by Chris Sawyer in a downloadable content pack for Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 + 2 :)

That's been on my list for a bit! The biggest problem is both the Classic Mini's steep pieces don't exist for the Mini in RCT3, so I need to figure out a workaround somehow. It was much easier for Crazy Caterpillar because I only had to edit one drop, but for Raging Rocket it's integral to the design. I'll definitely try again in the future to see if I can think of something.

Yep! I really love that they added back the original Steel Roller Coaster trains in OpenRCT2! :)

@@novacoastertycoon And Chris Sawyer always came with some nice pre-built designs for the players’ conveniences just to build roller coasters and some other tracked rides without the hassle of building their own custom designs.

Yeah it'd be an incredible design if someone ever made something like this. Unfortunately, that never happened, but there are still some insane coasters with inversions like them. Just look at The Smiler at Alton Towers as the greatest example of that!

I realized why I didn't use this one much either was because the price for the coaster is at a really awkward point where you could either cheaply buy a shuttle loop for a ton of money or make a really expensive coaster that looks way cooler. There's also Bumblebee as we saw earlier in the series, which does similar stuff to this coaster and is at least $1k cheaper if not more.

For me it kept the love for theme park sims last in between the years that I didn't play RCT, and I will always be thankful for that!!

That's a fair point. They don't have the hyper-twister trains in Thrillville though, and that's what the basis for the creation is on

Yeah the environment was absolutely a perfect fit I couldn't agree more! And Chris Sawyer definitely knew what he was doing. He drew so many unique and varied coaster inspirations for this game that he had to know Arrow had those trains. I'd probably ride this too as long as it wasn't a USA Togo model loool

@@novacoastertycoon Yeah, not that I'd think it was comfortable to really be standing up on a super slow togo lift hill, BUT I've seen this one that is dueling with one side being sit down the other standing, in Japan, and apparently both sides are smooth. Yet I felt murdered the rest of the ride after the inversion on the togo stand up at king's dominion and said "nope" when it was still around lol. And while I still have a solid "pain tolerance" it was higher then and still nope lol.
