Woah! I guess I could consider myself a DIY stompbox collector. I stubled across this one and I thought meh...in the age of impulse responses (awesome stuff) there's no way an analog cab sim could impress me. And at first it didn't. Very different to the polished sounds we are used to in contemporary rock and metal. But starting at 0:11 holy shit, this thing sounds fucking amazing in a band context! Kind of unique, and against all my expectations, it cuts through the mix really well. Not something I'd use for modern metal, but for rock and punk this might be a whole lot of fun. Maybe also very cool to blend with modern sounds and to add some extra spice. Adding this one to my DIY list!
Paul: I'm about to finish the resto of my '82 AR80, nicknamed The World's Tallest Midget, because we're putting so much effort into making this rare and tiny displacement bike into the fastest one around - but still slow by the standards of any Ninja 250 rider. Mods include a big bore Autisa kit, Polini carb, Moto Tassinari Delta 3 Reed Valve, a custom fabbed exhaust, porting polishing and so on. We've seized the engine 2x on the dyno at AF1 Racing, thanks to badly spec'ed rebuild parts. Next on the agenda, figuring out how to make the alternator a two phase 12volt unit. You should drop me a line and tell me how yours turned out.
In recent news: My Valve Fx has finally given up the good fight, as of a few months ago. The processor finally crapped out, and stopped booting on properly, and holding my patch memory. RIP, Valve FX 95' -15'
Bullshit - I have 1/3 century in music and computing and processors don't just die. It could be a swollen capacitor (though unlikely in that era), or from 20 years ago it could well be the the transformer thermo-couple (designed to stop the mains Tx overheating) has given up. Test the output wires for voltage. Instinct tells me its something silly. Try taking the 'harness' (wiring) off if it has push on connectors, give them a spray with WD40 / Switch Cleaner / Deoxit and reconnect them, that usually does the trick.
Thanks for the info. Before I gave up on it and threw it out, I remember it would completely dump all my patches in midst of operation. After that happened a dozen times and doing a factory reset, it would even accept the reset sequence upon rebooting. Had I kept it, I'd surely try your ideas. I have an old Rocktron Voodoo Valve I use now. It's ok, but I currently have other priorities bogging me down. Thanks again for the input.
@charlie1027 70cc treat kit (mild port work), jcams mikuni vm20 setup, estoril pipe. forks and front wheel are from a cr80. rear wheel is italian. clutch has a3 shoes on the a35 hub. it does 50mph. i've got an mlm prototype pipe that gets me up to 55mph but its being fixed right now.
@ZmajSnoshaj I'm aware MM was on the C64. I had a C64, just not MM for it. The music IS different on both versions. This is a cover of the Nintendo version of the music. Quit your whining. ha.
WOW! You looked like you were in a big hurry! You knocked out all of your requirements in just a few seconds!...and beautifully I will say. Great job! Blue Skyz!
That's nasty - my JMP-1 doesn't sound anything like that! Was it just DI'd?
Great video ❤️❤️❤️

You might be able to compensate for the thinness people are talking about by bringing up compression

sounds like an internal battery may have failed, maybe crack it open and try to replace it?
Good thought. I did that, not the problem. I think the processor had been road handled and weather beaten enough after 20 yrs.

Oops, didn't mean to dislike, added a like, but can't see where to remove the dis! Sorry.
Reach in with a couple of small flat screwdrivers and work it off the clutches.
Valv sounds close but still pretty thin. But it sounds really really close

You mean Marble Madness for the Commodore 64/128... I'm so sick and tired of post Gen-X kiddies thinking this came out on the NES.
nice

Walmart don't carry them, I looked. Love the Wal-mart. if they sold diesel, it'd be my favorite truckstop.
