St. Herculanus Bishop & Martyr's Antique Relic
St. Herculanus of Perugia, a 6th-century bishop and martyr, is venerated in the Catholic Church for his courageous leadership during a time of great peril. Serving as the bishop of Perugia, Italy, during the Gothic War, he became a symbol of steadfast faith and devotion to his people.
In 549 AD, the city of Perugia faced a prolonged siege by Totila, king of the Ostrogoths. As the invaders tightened their grip, St. Herculanus stood as a pillar of strength for his flock, providing spiritual guidance and fortifying their hope amidst adversity. Despite his efforts, the city ultimately fell to Totila, who ordered the bishop’s execution due to his resistance and leadership.
According to tradition, after St. Herculanus was beheaded, a miraculous event occurred. His severed head was said to have been mysteriously reattached to his body, which was found incorrupt several days later. This miracle affirmed his sanctity, leading to widespread veneration of the saint as a martyr.
St. Herculanus’s relics are enshrined in the Basilica of St. Herculanus in Perugia, where pilgrims continue to seek his intercession. Many miracles have been attributed to his prayers, including healings and protection during times of crisis.
Celebrated on November 7, St. Herculanus’s life serves as an enduring testament to courage, faith, and the triumph of God’s grace over persecution. His legacy continues to inspire the faithful to stand firm in their beliefs, no matter the challenges they face.

      It has also opened me up to attacks from the evil one, last week I had a snake come from under my desk while working.. I didn't even know it until it saw it going across my floor on the other side.. which means it went over my feet! I have no idea how it got into my house. But I felt it was definitely an attack, the day before I had brought some of the relics to an Exorcist who was borrowing them.

    As a historical story and artifacts this is interesting. Please, just pray to God, Jesus is our intercessor, we don’t need anything or anyone but God in our lives. Jesus told us to pray to our father, no one else and certainly never to pray to someone dead to pray for us. God warned us not to seek or pray to the dead. I used to wear crosses and even a St Francis Cabrini pendant. One day the Lord told me He doesn’t want me wearing trinkets anymore and that His Grace is sufficient for me. Faith is what is needed. May the Lord gently guide us to his light. Continue to grow in Christ and have faith that his grace is sufficient. No more lucky charms. As historical artifacts they are interesting, but as religious relics they are deceiving. Have faith in God, not trinkets.

      @@rmpj13 are you a former Catholic? Sounds like you are. How did you hear the Lord's voice and how do you know that it was HIM and not the enemy? Relics are not "trinkets" and the saints are not dead, just like the prophets that appeared on Mt Tabor at the transfiguration, they were speaking to Christ and the apostles there clearly saw and heard them. They were alive.. not dead. I advise going back and reading the church father's.. learn where your faith comes from. The Bible clearly says that the enemy is like a roaring lion that goes about looking for someone to devour. You my friend.. are in the stomach of the lion.. you're dead and you don't even know it yet. 👀

      @@rmpj13 There are plenty of verses on this.. and if you come back and check in about a month, I am getting my first old testament relic of St. Elisha, the Prophet. Speaking of which.. here is the verse from the bible concerning Elisha.. and its one of the first written accounts on the power of the saints and their relics: 2 Kings 13:20-21. In summary.. a man was being buried, his body was tossed into a grave and landed on the bones of the Prophet Elisha and as soon as his body touched those bones, he rose from the dead!. 2 Kings 2:14: Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, saying, ‘Where is the Lord, the God of Elijah?’ And when he had struck the water, the water was parted to the one side and to the other; and Elisha went over.” Acts 5:15-16: “They even carried out the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and pallets, that as Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on some of them. The people also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those afflicted with unclean spirits, and they were all healed.” Acts 19:11-12: “And God did extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, so that handkerchiefs or aprons were carried away from his body to the sick, and diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.” (cf. Matthew 9:20-22) The bones of Elisha were First Class Relics and the Handkerchiefs of Paul were 2nd class relics.. Elijah's cloak and Peters Shadow would be 3rd class relics. Lets dial it back to the old testament to see more relics quotes: Exodus 29:37: Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar, and consecrate it, and the altar shall be most holy; whatever touches the altar shall become holy. Exodus 30:25-29: And you shall make of these a sacred anointing oil blended as by the perfumer; a holy anointing oil it shall be. And you shall anoint with it the tent of meeting and the ark of the testimony, and the table and all its utensils, and the lampstand and its utensils, and the altar of incense, and the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils and the laver and its base; you shall consecrate them, that they may be most holy; whatever touches them will become holy. The ark of the covenant had relics in it, too: “a golden urn holding the manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant [the two tablets of the Ten Commandments]” (Hebrews 9:4; cf. Exodus 16:33-34; Numbers 17:10; 1 Kings 8:9; 2 Chronicles 5:10). The manna (a type of food produced by God to feed the wandering post-Exodus Jews) was biological, so presumably it had to be supernaturally preserved if it lasted very long. The parallel to relics and the practices and principles connected to them is very clear.

      I am not selling them, it is against code of canon law to sell relics.. I am rescuing them. I get them from closed convents, monasteries, and estate sales. A lot of relics have been in private collections of Catholics who then pass away and leave the relics to children or family members who no longer practice their faith.. they are then sold or given away. This is where I look for relics.

    Hello, I am from England (UK), you are very fortunate to have all these lovely relics of the Saints. St Therese is my favourite Saint too, and on her feast day this year, others, and myself were blessed with a first class relic of St Therese at one of our local churches. I was just wondering, when you say you rescued these relics, where do you rescue them from ? Have the relics been stolen and end up an antique shop or at a market?

    • @chasingsaintsrelics
      @chasingsaintsrelics หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@e.w.1179 Hey EW. What part of England are you from? St.Therese is such a beautiful saint! That is wonderful that you're church had a first class relic come and visit so ya'll could venerate her. Sadly with the state of the Church and the lack of vocations, monasteries, convents, and Churches are constantly closing all over the world and when these beautiful buildings are shuttered, a lot of relics are left behind. Some Church organizations and even lay people will pay a fee to clean these buildings out and when the religious leave, a lot of times the relics are left in the churches and monasteries. They are found in closets, basements, attics, and in the Church. People that find them, will usually put them online to sell or they sell through the relic blackmarket. Its difficult rescuing relics because they are usually so expensive to get. I checked with my Pastor and several Priests in my diocese before I started to "rescue" these over a year ago. I am also working with several Exorcists and providing them with relics. I have several experts that I run the relics i am interested in getting by if I question their authenticity. Sadly there are a lot of fakes out on the market and some very good forgers. My main concern is to keep these beautiful relics out of the hands of people with bad intentions, satanists, ect.. that will desecrate the relics. I do not know if the relics have been stolen, I did ask this of an Exorcist and he said it is important to rescue the relics regardless of where they might have come from. I pray they were not. I get the majority of my relics from Belgium, Netherlands, France, Spain, Germany, USA, Italy, and a really beautiful one from Malta two months ago.

      I should have done a video on the Fatima children tonight. I have first class relics of Francisco and Jacinta. Maybe I'll do a video of them tomorrow. Thanks for the comment! More vids to come!
