Is it possible to find a copy of a project that was accidentally saved to a project folder of an older version? I unfortunately saved it on my iCloud Drive and not my hard drive. iCloud prompted me to choose which of two files with similar names to save, and I mistakenly chose the older version. Does Logic store alternative project folders within its system software where I could retrieve this latest version? Or could I reconstruct the project and find the stems used with a wave file bounced for the full song? Curious if Logic saves content info when a wave file is saved, like in the program ACID Pro.

Wow. Thanks for these tutorials! I'm learning a lot. I'm still stuck on one major issue. I have set Controller Assignments so I can use my Moog Minitaur to control UADx Minimoog. But now all my MIDI CC mapping in other instruments (like Softube Model 80) don't work - I have to "Bypass All Control Surfaces" to use other mapping. Is there a way to have Logic's Controller Assignments just control the UADx Minimoog? I assumed I would use Zones or Modes for this but can't figure it out. Thanks for any help!

I've tried so many things, but I can't find my User folder where my own Apple Loops are stored. I saved my loop in the appropriate section (Guitar - Acoustic Guitar), but when I open my Apple Loops folder in the Library, I only see strange names. It seems that only loops from other producers are stored there, but there is no Guitar - Acoustic Guitar folder. Also, I cannot find the User folder in there. What am I doing wrong?

I was working on a project, and I opened the eq but I also closed out the project with the eq still open, now whenever I click on the project, it only opens the eq, I can't see the project but I can still press the space bar and hear the song start to play, please help

Hi.. In my session I Lost myrecorded audio no waveform were showing in the event I restarted Logic it says missing file... But I didnot deleted any of those.. Any solution?? I checked in audio folder it was not there too

My vocal reverb will open but no effects will work I've tried everything. Every plug in works besides vocal reverb

how do you edit these key commands? i'm familiar with editing key command assignments in general but not seeing how to change ones that involve scrolling + shift or option etc. like for example if i want to invert the scrolling.

I deleted old take comp folders in a project. Now I have the error. I don't want the file back. I just want logic to stop popping up and looking forever. How do I make that happen? thats what i was looking for in this video. Maybe an example where you lose the file don't find it and then stop the pop ups. Do you export start over? Do you save a new project file under a different name? Im asking because i don't know and would like to see examples on TH-cam.

Hallo Logic Pro Guy am very grateful for your video.. Wouldn't it be great if you could use multiple UF8 controllers (let's say two) to create an even more efficient workflow? Imagine being able to set the layers on the controllers so that they display fixed channel groups. This would mean that when you switch between the different layers, you would have direct access to a specific set of channels: - Layer 1:** Channel overview of channels 1 to 16 - Layer 2:** Channel overview of channels 17 to 32 - Layer 3:** Channel overview of channels 33 to 48 This way, you can quickly and easily switch between different sets of channels without having to manually search or adjust each time. It could significantly speed up your workflow, especially in complex projects with many tracks. Is this functionality already possible? If not, could this be a valuable addition to the UF8's capabilities?

When I try to drag in an audio file of some classical piano Ive played the tempo isn't right, any tips?

I also have 2 UF8s and use Logic Pro. I always use 360 mode rather than DAW mode. Is there a way to set it up so that the left UF8 only has the channels on it and the right UF8 only has the track stacks (ie. busses) on there?

I'm still unsure about the difference between a zone and mode. My goal is to have two settings for my pads - one setting will be for drumming (which is the default) the other setting will be for triggering live loop scenes. I've tried setting it using the learn button on a new mode, but it just seems to overwrite and I can't switch between the two settings.

Hi! Thanx for the video. I had this problem for a particular situation. I noticed that my project was very heavy, and I decided to create a 2.0 version to empty it out a bit and get back to work on it. (The reason I didn't do it all over again was because I already had templates ready to do some minor mastering.) To do That I deleted as you did both the tracks from the project and the existing tracks in the Audio folder. Result: the 'file not found' warning appeared. Do you know an alternative way to empty a project as I did, but without this Logic message appearing?

Sorry but this is not helpful for my situation at all. You don’t even show or explain the learn button that has 3 different lightings settings that even Apple doesn’t tell you what they mean. I am simply trying to g to assign 5 volume and 6 send to bus assignments on a launch XL midi mixer controller but they keep flipping to different assignments, and yes I am clicking on the learn button after the learn, and shutting down the controller surface each time but nothing works as it should. It seems like there is nobody giving all the info you need to make such a simple task work correctly. Sorry but this is so frustrating and I have been producing for over 30 years and using logic for over 20 years so not new to this, am I really that dumb…?

Undoubtedly great advice, but where do you find the associated Folder or Package?

Nice tutorial! My strategy for this kind of thing is to map the hardware controller to Smart Controls and then assign the smart controls to each instrument so that it switches assignments automatically when the instrument track is selected. But this is also an option.

For Bank Left and Bank Right, instead of adjusting the multiply parameter, you can change the Bank Type from "By One" to "By Bank"

I don't know about this feature but this is my setup on AKAI Mini MK3 Automation knob is turned on so I can control all parameters in 1 knob including 3rd party plugins (Absolute on Knob 8) All knobs are absolute: Knob 1 - Playhead Bar Knob 2 - Playhead Division Knob 3 - Bus 1 Send Knob 4 - Bus 2 Send Knob 5 - Track Selection Knob 6 - Track Pan Knob 7 - Master Volume CC Bank A CC Pad 1 - Mute Track CC Pad 2 - Solo Track CC Pad 3 - Input Monitoring CC Pad 4 - Arm Record CC Pad 5 - Rewind CC Pad 6 - Stop CC Pad 7 - Play/Stop CC Pad 8 - Record CC Bank B - I haven't mapped it yet. I'll try your set up and maybe try to group my knobs above to a mode (except knob 8). So 8 cc's on bank B times 7 knobs = 45 knobs in total.
