Loyola Marymount Offense Only (Westhead) vs La Salle 1990
This game is another beautiful example of what Westhead did at LMU. La Salle decided to run with LMU which created a pretty entertaining game. LMU struggled with turnovers early in the game and shot mostly free throws the last few minutes so I cut that but this still gives you a good idea of how they ran. Kimble had 32 this game, Gathers had 27 and 12 and Fryer had 27 with 7 threes.

Here is another cut up of Citadel's offense versus Clemson. Altough they ended up losing by 20 they kept it close most of the game. Their offense struggled with turnovers in the 2nd half but this video still gives you a good idea of what they like to run. 5 out spacing, dribble hand offs and back doors cuts make this offense one of the deadliest offenses in CBB. This gives you another good look at how LMU liked to run their break. It's pretty much every offensive possession. LMU ended up losing this game 102-91 after leading in the first half. I didn't include them but turnovers really killed them in the second half. LMU and UNLV had a rematch later this season but of course that was after the passing of Hank Gathers. Loyola Marymount Offense Only (Westhead) 149 Points vs Michigan 2nd Round 1990

The broadcast of this game cut to two other close games so not every possession is here. I also cut some from the end of the game when LMU started to slow things down a bit but this gives you a good idea of what LMU ran. A couple keys points to look at on this break are the insanely quick inbound passes. Paul Westhead is a big proponent of the baseball pass. If you watch the full game you'll se...

This gives you a good idea of how The Citadel runs their offense. They've led the ncaa in pace the last couple years and are currently averaging 128 points per game 3 games into the season. Some important keys to running an offense like this can be seen in this video such the quick inbound pass, quick shots, amazing spacing, the long throw ahead pass and the ball movement. Citadel also crashes ...

Ball doesn't stay in the backcourt very long for LMU. Three seconds of possession and they're already across midcourt and in your face with dagger 3s

You said you cut off the last 4 minutes of the game because LMU was starting to "slow things down..." (!) They still scored 18 points in the last four minutes with their "run the clock" offense!!! 😜🤣🤣

The basic scheme is to not let the defense setup and limit your offense to 2-3 passes and shoot. Run and gun in the simplest of terms. Hope that helps 👍🏼

They lost to UNLV by 30+. Hank Gathers wasn’t going to make up a 30 point deficit. UNLV beat them at their own game. Outran them and outgunned them. They play that game 100 times and UNLV wins 99 maybe 100. That was the best team in history of college basketball.
