Thank you for sharing that. It was a very nice unit in its' day. Not sure if you came across more information on it but it is pretty much identical to the RCA VKT series (275, 300). These were built by Hitachi. The DC-DC converter is a common thing to fail on them. Belts are actually quite easy to find as Hitachi used the same chassis from 1982 to about 1989.

Why would you waste your time on that thing.

Not seeing much on here about these blowers. They're uncommon apparently. I was given a 225B with some of the exterior covers missing. It does fire and run when I feed the intake. Found a new carb online for 7.99. Hopefully that and new fuel lines will make it a runner.

I just got one as well pretty recently. almost new condition. Never been flown. Just sat for years in a garage being hung from the rafters. It looks way better condition than yours. Good luck on it thou.

I have the same mtd, however it has issues but i like the body so id like to preserve it. currently chasing a speed control issue where 2nd-7th is free play on the linkage, and cannot select neutral/reverse (neutral rarely) went to get the wheels and transaxle out to find my wheels are also seized to the point a 20T bottle jack and a drag chain didnt do shit, think ill be cutting wheels off, good to know the rear section comes off to get to the axle, ive been working from underneath with the deck still on

Did you ever do the electric conversion I just bought a monster mt roller I want to convert it to electric want to know to convert the 2 speed to single speed.

I am working on one of these for a buddy right now. The gas lines were dry rotted on it. Is it just one line from the gas tank to the carb? Then the filter goes on the end of that line?

I have one of these projects one the go myself at the moment. It's kind of a special bike. It's Honda's first liquid cooled dirt bike, first swing arm style single shock rear suspension, and as I said the last year to carry the Elsinore name.

I bought mine for 75 bucks with not a scratch on the chassis these motor have alot of power.i like mine i got it going last night. Havent really bashed it yet.

Hi Mate, good to see another old Tamiya Nitro fire up, There are still a few places selling the original heatsink for this motor just google, Tamiya 7684074 which is the original part number. Did you end up finding a TG10 to put it in? cheers from oz.

Has some wiring been crossed so that the wrong button does the wrong thing.

Could be just dirty did you use a can of air blast all the dust out looks like it could be a sensor or its just dirty.

it does the same thing with the cover on it. the light will mess with the 2 tape sensors

Have you tried putting the cover on?
