I love BDC Parfum. I get citrus, pineapple and sandalwood as the main notes on me and it just smells beautiful. Also love how well it lasts on skin and I also love the fact that it stays mostly as a nice scent bubble with amazing silage so I don't have to worry about upsetting others when I wear it indoors. Really great stuff 👍

Agree. Its sweet but is so well balanced with the dry patchouli, it doesnt vibe synthetic and annoying. Smells very natural.

Love Chanel no19. I have the EDT and its beautiful. Unfortunately I am unable to find the EDT but I have 2 bottles of it. I have ordered the EDP. Cristalle EDT is my other favourite.

I've been wondering about this subject of No.5 for men quite a long time and then came across this haha, looks like I'll put my mind to rest and give it a go. Currently I'm addicted to AG Cloud and it is a no brainer value for money total banger that gets compliments, and IMO smells far better than the expensive rouge 540 that it supposedly imitates. Many thanks for this video.

I worship Number 5. It was my mother’s favorite when I was a child but it smells totally different on me, so I don’t have any mummy’s connotations. And still if I would Chanel N5 is such a wonderful piece of history and is so perfectly well blended that I don’t care. My first approach was the eau de parfum, people said I smelled clean. However I sprayed it on Marilyn Monroe’s crypt so the smell made me feel sad afterwards. My favorites are Eau premiere, the pure parfum and the original eau de toilette which I consider is the one that better suits a guy. Still, no matter what version you choose, N5 is worth being used and enjoyed by either genders. Lovely video by the way!

I wish they did a men’s version of 19 It has Almost everything I love but maybe to feminine ?? Unless they add more tree moss as oakmoss is virtually banned

I bought a Chanel No.5 parfum seven years ago in Paris. I finally opened the bottle and started using it! I must say that the fragrance is perfect for women and men. It just has this nice neutral smell that is not too feminine which makes it suitable for a man to wear. Love it!

The only time I had this (It was no 19 EdT) was in the summer of 1979. I tried to get a hold of it the next summer and the next summer and the next summer, but couldn't get ahold of it anywhere!! Ever since that time, I have missed it. Had many fragrances since - but nothing can compare with the love I have for this scent. To me, this is the Queen of Scents. If I like a scent, I really don't care if it's an old or new scent. It doesn't matter at all. There's so many new scents every year, but mostly, it's nothing new, but rather new variations of the same all over again in different mixes. Nothing can compare to The Real Queen of Scents. Chanel no 19. And: Thank You so much for presenting this scent - that came out in 1970 - and not only the new ones all the time...... I will subscribe to you. I really liked your presentation. (I will get this as a Christmas present from my husband. Chanel no 19 EdP, 100 ml - I can hardly wait to smell it again after so many years.....)

I don’t have No. 5 yet but man, I’m obsessed with N. 5 classic oval bar of soap that I store and stash my dresser to keep my clothes smelling fragrant! Every time I pull out a shirt, my clothes smell amazing! Mind you, I’m female in my early 50s now and no one in my family ever worn Chanel. I discovered Chanel from a girl who wore Coco Chanel in high school. So I ended up buying one for myself in my 30s when I had a good job and was able to afford it. Then my ex boyfriend got me Coco Mademoiselle. Now your video has me thinking what better time to get N. 5 OG perfume. As a I’m woman of mature age, this would be a “rite of passage” entering into a true class fragrance. I no longer wear synthetic smelling cheapies. My style and taste have changed over the years. I want to feel like I command the room with class and dignity. I don’t want to smell like some show girl in the backstage at a strip club 😂😂 I agree, men wear it well with Chanel 5. Thank you Josh for sharing!

It smells like a better quality version of Giorgio Beverly Hills Wings For Men.

Just what I needed to know...I definitely made the right choice getting the EDT. I looked at the notes for the EDP and knew that solo-patchouli base was a no-go. If they both don't project, at least the EDT drydown is better. And at the price it's sold at, I can buy two more after this first EDT bottle arrives tomorrow.

Hi Josh. New here and just subscribed. Your description of No. 19 EDP is utterly stellar. I'm literally on the fence between it and Bel Respiro. I have 19 EDT and it's phenomenal. Do you think I should get No. 19 EDP or go for Bel Respiro? I work outside year round and both seem to have that "mood" just in different ways. Thanks again for THE. The difference between the original formula and the current one is that this one is slightly more brash, especially the top notes. I think the original was a little sweeter and more feminine. The EDP concentration is closer to the original. It’s my signature fragrance. I’ve worn it most of my life.

There should really be a Chanel number five for men. I have yet to experience all of Chanel’s male fragrances, but I am sure there is one out there somewhere that smells like number five.

It’s just perfume for gosh sake they should stop marketing perfume as male or female fragrance in ancient times there wasn’t such thing as male of female fragrance if you like the smell just wear it better to smell good then to smell like dog shit or something like that right

I LOVE the first, complex, warm spice, syrupy, leathery, 1 hour of the current Egoiste, but after that it just smells like faint gingerbread cookies. I always read ab how potent this scent was, and I wish I could’ve experienced that. I think Comme Des Garçon parfum comes close, but it doesn’t have the moody syrupy 80’s base to it.

I just got a sample today with a purchase and I was blown away. I figured it would be really heavy and 1920s-ish. My preconceptions were wrong! It’s smells great on me. I have zero trouble wearing “perfumes”. I don’t care! LOLs 😝 this is definitely going into my rotation!

Why did they stop making the extreme? ( clear bottle with the black sides) Saw a few bottles going for 450- 550 usd??? I put some on a jacket, stuck it in the wardrobe and didnt wear it for weeks, when I went to wear it again I could still smell it. What a shame. I want people to know I'm in the room before I get there! lol

wearing no.5 as a man is a pure definition of anima. It can be wonderful on a man ( no age restrictions actually ) who understands his personality and owns his feminine particle.

I see we have similar nose receptors. Like you I didn't get any of the notes listed nor the comparison to VIW. To me this is just a lighter version of YSL Tuxedo, which I don't like. However, this dries down to something more pleasant. I don't see this as a summer frag but more fall and even winter. How everyone is getting a "tropical" vibe from this is beyond me. I'll probably just give it away down the road.
