Lovely! The 'Grand Dame' from the Victorian Times. Yes, some signs of 'faded glory' - but that's always the case with these 'painted ladies'. Wish they had kept the Victorian Exterior, but at least it's very neutral. The period interiors are beautiful, with nice modernized Public Rooms. I'll be visiting Torquay in September for the Agatha Christie Festival - although I will be staying at 'The Grand' - many of the festival activities are held at 'The Imperial' and I will be having Afternoon Tea at The Imperial, as well. Looking forward to exploring the Hotel and Grounds and 'follow in Agatha's Footsteps'!
