@@sunsetcola My major is Earth Science and Environmental Studies, and I took a class called GIS and Remote Sensing, it was a basic intro to GIS course with a section on remote sensing at the end

I live in Maine to and live about 35 minutes from Bowdoin college.And I Run track as well, I am currently going into my Jr year of highschool. May I ask What inspired you to do track in college?
I was looking for a sense of community on campus! I will say that I did walk on the team and wasn't recruited; I was having a hard time deciding myself. Being a part of a team gives you a set of friends that you share common interests and goals with. It's nice having this as a first year while you're still figuring out college, and by the time you're a senior, you have 7 class years worth of friends/contacts which is great for social and professional relationships! I have appreciated being able to see my growth as an athlete over time (getting faster times and stronger in the gym). I also needed something that would force me to exercise and manage my time haha. Hands down would say the best decision I've made in college. It really depends what you're looking for!

From a lifelong Brunswick resident...LEARN TO LOOK BEFORE CROSSING THE STREET This isnt the big city. We have common courtesy around here. Press the "Walk" button on the poll, look before crossing the street, and get off your bike at the crosswalks. A lot of Bowdoin students gain reputations for having more money than common sense.

I don’t go to Bowdoin, but I still really enjoyed your video. I go to Umaine about 2 hours north of Brunswick. It’s nice to see fellow people trying to enjoy the beautiful state of Maine.

For the summer after freshman year, is it likely I could secure an envs internship? When is the best time to start thinking and planning that during the school year?
Yes it is! I'd start thinking around November/December, as applications are usually due January/February. You'll need some time to get rec letters, write personal statements, fix your resume etc. CXD is super helpful with all of this, and professors/students in the envs department are also a good resource
