It won't be that much connected to the main game story as it takes place 500-1000 years into the future. There will be some familiar characters around since they have long lifespans. I personally hope they change it later on, like an alternative timeline or parallel universe since this game story will only limit the possible endings the main game can have.

​@xelog7658 yeah especially since I heard somewhere that othaphy hasn't been cured yet by the timeskip which would be a big issue if it's true given that the main arknights story isn't finished yet ad far as I know. Granted can see them making it non-canon in some form so it doesn't cause issues with the main story

@PaulonTheBrave yeah it's because of that that I want them to change it to being an alternative timeline instead of being canon like it is now since they've already played with the idea of different timelines in the main game. Doesn't matter how great they write the ending it's still sucks knowing for a fact that oripathy was never cured.

@xelog7658 the larger issue with endfield is if it remains canon then it would hinder the main game by establishing a "ceiling" to the base games plot that it can't breach. That and it is just poor planning in general to establish a canon spinoff far in the future of the main game unless it's so far in the future that main games plot is largely irrelevant to the spinoff.

​@@PaulonTheBrave it is likely a spin off but where we are seeing a new section of Rhodes Island or branch I do hope it won't conflict to much with the OG game.

There is much potential for a action arknights game with all the game mechanics that have been made throughout the years. But I feel it should have to move away from the gacha aspect and become something more.

yeah it's understandable that the game is pretty janky considering it's still indev alpha build. Hopefully they fix the issues by CBT1

considering the Angelina clone bullshit for cheap fan service i wouldn't bet on that unfortunately. It's still insane for me that they decided to a combat system that bad. I don't know, maybe it's just a lack of experience with 3D games but it's an insane commercial mistake

But again, i would like to just ignore the game if it's plain bad but i just can't because Arknights is too important of a game to me. My main issue with Endfield is that it's an Arknights game, i wouldn't care for an even worst game if it wasn't in the same universe

this game is not going to die because there are so many people who love arknights character design.(best designs always come out of arknights lol not the mention how good hypergraph is at writing stories, they are the best at this. finally, i must tell you how high quality the music and songs are at arknights. This means that the music and songs will be great at endfield as well. these are the factors that will make the game sell. btw, if we are going to talk about gameplay mechanics, we also need to talk about hsr. as everyone knows, hsr is a simple game that does not have any strategy in its gameplay. but still , a lot of people love this trash game ( they have no brain lmfao )

I am insanely invested in the lore, and that's actually one of the reasons i'm so worried about Endfield, cause that Angelina clone Bullshit is down right absurd to me. That Arknights would rely on cheap fan service and dumb explanation for it is a great shame and is extremely concerning about the writting in this game. Especially with the complexe dialogues that were the great thing about Arknights that were brought through a Genshin/Wuwa filter to catter to a more general audience. Pretty much every great things about Arknights gameplay is absent or downright bad in Endfield. This game isn't a love letter to Arknights fan, it's an insult

please, not going for the Fortnite Zelda palette of color is litterally the only thing they did right with this game, we really don't need this to be ruined too

@@z0ck3r the bland part doesn’t come from the colors, it comes from the emptiness of the map. There no point of interest to grab your attention and desert background. But the colors definitely is fine like that more bright color would totally ruin the atmosphere

@itslilithsan7130 mood and ambience are the task of art direction tho, you can do propper mood with any kind of graphical fidelity I think this is gonna get quite boring to look at with the maps not providing many POI and interesting structures I'm really glad they didn't go the oversaturated way, but there is a healthy in between
