I owned several '77 corvettes as I loved that body style. Beautiful cars but like owning a Jaguar: always in the shop. Several things to note: at about 50K miles they'll probably need a new engine. The wiring harness will also probably need replacement in the not-too-distant future. Fun to drive and always got looks while driving but they can be a huge money pit. I'd give $4,000.00 for the car.

Money spent by the owner(s) of vehicles is considered regular maintenance and adds nothing monetarily to the value of a vehicle. The added *value* is whatever pleasure the seller got out of fixing and driving it themselves. *Needs wiring work* is, IMO, code for it needs a new wiring harness which can cost thousands and good luck finding someone qualified to do the work.
