Nice man ! I’ve got an 88 that I’m starting to redo decent condition low miles typical montero rust lots of things to improve on

I just picked one up - looking forward to getting to work on some of it - and really not looking forward to some of it. Body panels are mostly nice but the 2nd owner let the rust get away from him and it got a little too close to the motor and body mounts for comfort - they're still intact and solid but there ain't much of the body around the mounts left - and I can't weld so I'm sure i'll have to go through a couple of people before finding someone willing to fabricate some patches for me - but other than that it's a real clean sample - motor is good, only 140k miles. trans still good - everything works except the automatic sunroof.

Hey bro, how much space do you find you have length wise when you're lying down, I'm looking at a paj at the moment and it only seems to have like 180cm to work with which might not quite be big enough for me

Love this!. I have a 2001 Pajero that I overland in as well. Man this thing would look killer with a full length roof rack!

Keep your battery charged in cold weather or it will die a fast death just sitting discharged for long periods. Remove starter motor, dismantle, replace bearings, brushes and clean comutator. It will live another 20 years and you'll save a bundle. At 100k miles you need to replace glow plugs. Upon completion you will notice a big difference to starting performance. Sub zero temperatures require these things to be at their optimum.

Nice job and very tidy. It's all you need without breaking the bank. A cheap pull out awning would go well.
