Voting is off for this video! Here is a better version of The Falling Man... To me this doc was the best way to show the human toll that it took on not just the city.. But the world... The young man here was identified by his hands and his shoes... Cannot imagine what was going on as the building was on fire... www.esquire.com/news-politics/a48031/the-falling-man-tom-junod/

    I think that husband is one big enabler to her behaviour. Look lady...we've all been through hell. No reason to act like that. The cop was more than nice to her despite her being a terrible driver, and instead of saying thank you so much, she screams. I think thats what she does to get her way with people, and they tolerate it.

    My mum endured stomach aches on and off for several months before being diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer, dying 4 months later. My close friend, had been suffering from back pain for several months, then she developed a severe stomach and that is when she too was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer and died a few months later, she was 60. My work colleague, also died from Pancreatic cancer, her illness started with a strange lump on the side of her face, requiring surgery, from then on she was ill and was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. Neither one of these ladies smoked nor drank alcohol. I hope Patrick never beat himself up for being a smoker as he could well have still developed the disease even had he been a non smoker. His attitude was incredible in way he handled his disease, but then most people do, he. Patrick is right about all those out there that have the cure, if you take this or take that, it is all BS. I watched Patrick in Ghost at the week-end and all these years later it can still make me cry. Patrick is always remembered and his films make sure of this. Such a beautiful couple, the loves shines out of their eyes for each other. Hope Lisa is having a good life without him.

    He gave a damn good fight . Strongest man ever . Loved his movies . My fav was Ghost , Dirty Dancing and To Wong Foo . He was an amazing actor . Alot of people can take a page off his book. Fame did not change him . This man was grounded and not afraid to live his life or fight for it. And either way he made peace with whatever came but not without a good fight . RIP Patrick 🙏

      Many ppl who've lost loved ones to cancer would likely say their son, father or mother etc, was "the strongest ever". There's a common misconception that celebs are more special than regular folk.. They're not. Patrick Swayze was not the strongest man ever. He was like every other person who fought a brave battle with a horrible disease. ✌️

    One has to wonder if Richard Carpenter after Karen Carpenter died, payed Tom Burris a lump sum payment or periodic payments in exchange for Burris agreeing to not speak out publically about what he knows about the Carpenter family and Burris' marriage to Karen?! One wonders what embarrassing information does Burris know that Richard Carpenter does not want made public?!

  • @michaelbarlow6610
    @michaelbarlow6610 ปีที่แล้ว

    Notice how this docudrama about Karen Carpenter noticeably fails to mention 2 separate incidents that are mentioned in Randy Schmidt's excellent book, "Little Girl Blue" about Karen Carpenter. The first was a time when Karen met a female friend of her's at a restaurant in LA, but Karen insisted that they sit at a different table than the one that they normally would sit at - a table in a darker area of the restaurant - and Karen was wearing sunglasses to hide that she had a black eye. The second incident occured, according to Randy Schmidt's book, after Karen had an argument with her husband Tom Burris at his rented house in which he wanted to borrow more money from Karen and she told him that she was not a bank. Karen left the house and drove to Phil and Karen "Itchy" Ramone's house, knocked weakly on the front door, and when Phil Ramone and his wife let Karen in, Karen collapsed and they carried her over to the couch and noticed that Karen had bruises on her. Schmidt does not say it directly in his book, but the clear implication from his description of those 2 incidents is that Tom Burris hit Karen! What a scumbag Tom Burris is!

    This documentary look at the Carpenters music duo, although very good, does the ridiculous thing of inventing conversations/arguments between the principle persons with no solid evidence validating the exact wording of the alleged conversations/arguments! No matter how well-acted the dramatised scenes are, it still is rank speculation by the producers of the documentary to include those dramatic recreation scenes!

    118 shows in just 5 months????!!!! That is absolutely insane! A&M Records and the Carpenters' manager Sherwin Bash absolutely inexcusably treated them like they were a "fly-by-night" second rate music act that needed to capitalize on their overnight success as frequently as possible - as if they had no long-term durability prospects! God, no wonder she developed anorexia and bulimia, what with her unloving, overbearing, dictator mother, her dominant brother forcing her to give up what she loved to do - play the drums - and that absurdly insane, mentally and physically debilitating touring/recording schedule! Her mother forcing her to go through with a sham marriage to that obvious a-hole Tom Burris just made things even worse for poor Karen!

    If you are the one your mother dotes on, it's easy to say you are loved without the actual words being said. But if you watched your brother get most of the attention all your life, it's a different story. Without Karen, Richard would have never made it, and her family knew it, which is why they controlled everything she did and didn't want her to do anything without him. She found a way to rebel against that by controlling her food intake. There are a zillion great pianists out there, but there was only one Karen Carpenter.
