*First rule of being a believer is: Don't focus on men or seek the approval of men. Don’t set your eyes on mere men, because people (even pastors or your co-believer) will fail you but Jesus won't. Galatians 1:10 "Am I now trying to gain the approval of people, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ!"* *Welcome to the Christian world guys. The reality is, the church is full of broken people, hypocrites as others would describe it, imperfect people and sinners... but that's how it supposed to be. Jesus didn't came for the righteous, because no one is sinless. We all need a Saviour, we cannot cleanse ourselves from our transgressions. That's why we have to focus on our own relationship to God. You can lose everything and anything but we cannot afford to lose the Lord. Our suffering, isn't worth comparing to the glory that is coming when the Lord comes back. HE IS THE ONLY WORTHY JUDGE. But also be careful to the desires of the flesh, don't be deceived. When a person loves it's sin so much that he would twist the truth of the Word and will do what is right to it's own judgement.*

Madami kasing self righteous people na feeling nila they have authority to judge other people. Tapos sasabihin to be offended is a choice. So okay lang maranasan ang ganto kasi di ka naman nagsisimba para sa ibang tao kundi sa Diyos. Pero how can you focus sa gantong environment???

2:54 God loves everyone, thats true, but it doesn’t mean we do whatever we want to our bodies. Our bodies are not our own. Our bodies bought with a high price and it’s priceless, it’s the blood of Jesus Christ. We are created in the image and likeness of God. Simple. We don’t need to change anything the way God created us in the first place. We need to see ourselves the way God sees us not the way we should see ourselves. Just sharing 😇😇❤️❤️ God bless!!

I am a Christian too. I was involved in a church since 2004 but became active around 2009. It was fun and fulfilling at the same time esp because I'm in my teenage years. The first church I had been attended to was very welcoming and that was those times na I discovered that I have so much to offer in terms of being who I am, unboxing my talents and knowing my purpose in life. It's very overwhelming for me because it's different from my kinagisnan na buhay sa probinsya being a Catholic. Year 2010-2012 was the year na nakilala ko personally si God and loves Him so deep. I was very in love with Him that even on very hardships in my life I know I can get through it but things changed noong 2013. Yung small church namin, inadopt ng malaking church. It was fun and I met a lot of people -- youths; hanggang dumating na sa point nang buhay ko yung pagsubok na hindi ko maiisip na mangyayari sa'kin. Youths that's in the music ministry that time bullied me (cyberbullying) and makes fun of me of sorts. It tested me in all aspects in my life. About myself, trusting my family & friends, and the church. But I still gulped the shame and vulnerability to stand up because I was holding onto my faith that "it's okay, I have God with me", but can't get away with those marks in my soul for almost 9 years. That experience damaged my whole life. I also wasn't able to forgive myself for being so loving and trusting for people who aren't deserving of it. I was too naive. In that 9 years of being a worship leader, I couldn't find enough strength to hold myself, all I could think of was about the church. My responsibility and accountability, my ministry. We're adopted church but felt like we're also abandoned. The church that once a safe place for me is not safe anymore. I'm still hoping and praying that things will get better but not 'til Dec 2022, I was fed up of church toxicity and decided to stepped down in my ministry early 2023 because of burnout too. I started soul-searching to find peace and change my perspectives in life. I'm still struggling to attend to church because of so much trauma but I still love God and it will never change.

I am a Christian. I see imperfections inside the church especially if you are in the leadership. I didn't leave coz I only focused on God. Let God deal with them. The level of maturity matters the most in the ministry.

Church hurt is real but Gods' Love, existence, and Grace are even more real. Godbless everyone! Choose God, Choose Healing, Choose Forgiveness.

Sin divides. Yes, the Church hurts if you love certain sins. But the Church is a home if everyone submits faithfully to God and His Word. Marami na akong cases na naexperience na kung sino pa ang gumawa ng issues and conflicts, sila pa yung nagkakalat ng mga lies and nang-sslander, sila pa yung naging biktima. God can see everything and knows everything, so we must be careful. A true Christian is a lover of peace, he/she submits to God's authority and Word. Conflict arises when we think more for ourselves, what we want to be, what we want to do or to have instead of seeking what God wants or His Will, or simply what is right in the eyes of God and what can glorify Him. We have to understand and acknowledge that we are all sinners, our nature won't choose Him unless we are changed by Him, we need God, and we need a Savior... unless you are in Christ, sin is your master. But, A Church, a true church of Christ will help you see your sin and will help you battle with it for God's glory. PS: Repent from your sins, and cling to Christ, He's our only hope against sin and the eternal death that awaits us. He is faithful to forgive us. and PS: Church Discipline is very important, I hope many churches still practice this.

First of All, I feel so Sorry for all the people who got to experience Brokeness inside church. That is why our faith must be founded well sa Lord, kasi maraming natitisod dahil we are looking sa Faith ng Tao. People's nature is to sin, dahil broken ang world, kaya we should not expect perfection sa tao. My status RN sa current church community ko, they are really warm and family feels. I recommend looking for a community that is forgiving, understanding, loving, and ready to correct and be corrected-they do exist.

If anyone here has experienced deep church hurt, I suggest considering Christian counseling. Moving forward can be really hard, especially if trauma is involved. I’ve been through a lot of church hurt too, but the Lord helped me focus on Him alone and taught me how to respond to the pain. When we're hurt, we often want to inflict pain in return, which only makes things messier. Trust the process and let Him heal you. Remember, not all churches are the same. While there’s no perfect church, there is a right one for you.

The amount of GASLIGHTING in the comment section is unbelievable. Spiritual abuse is real. Sometimes the most destructive are the subtle ones. Common scenario would be you begin to start questioning things at church and leaders don’t like that so they start the demolition job saying you are bad spirit possessed, it frustrates you because it’s not true, you start speaking up but no friends and acquaintance believes you, members would throw bible verses until they bury you and shut you up, then cycle of abuse goes on. Jesus warns us that there are wolves in sheep clothing and we as Christians should take that warning carefully.

Misunderstandings and conflicts often happen within the body of Christ because we are all a work in progress. Even Jesus experienced betrayal and hurt from those he loved. Judas, one of His closest disciples, betrayed Him, and Peter denied Him. John 6:66 even says that many of His disciples turned back and no longer followed Him. Additionally, there was a subtle rivalry between John and Peter. Yet, through these conflicts, God teaches us to love our enemies and the importance of forgiveness, which Jesus demonstrated on the cross. He also emphasized the heart of servanthood-serving each other with humility. Do not expect the church to be perfect. Do not expect that you will never be hurt along the way because the enemy will not allow you to journey with God without being tested. John 10:10 says that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. He wants you to hate, to blame God, and to stop following Jesus. He often uses people around you to discourage and hurt you. We are quick to blame God, but do we remember to consider the devil’s role first? I have been hurt in many different ways within the church and have often felt like giving up. But each time I turn to God, He teaches me to always choose love. We cannot overcome evil with evil; it is always overcome with good. And that is the Christian life. Being a Christian does not mean always being safe, happy, or favored. It is a life of love, humility, sacrifice, and complete obedience to God-no matter what may happen! If you want to change local church that's fine! If you need legal action to someone who hurt you that's fine! If you want to confront people who hurt you that's fine! But never stop believing in love and forgiveness! This is what Jesus Christ died for!

I am a Christian too, serving the Lord since 2017 as a worship leader. Daming discouragement sa mga kasama sa ministry even sa pastor. I've been hurt din naman sa church before but God comforted me and gave me strength to face the challenges. Kasi yung mga tao sa loob ng church they are also broken people eh, they are not perfect. Kung may mga alitan, pinag uusapan ng maayos, maraming worst scenarios di ko na isa-isahin. Saw our pastor cried a lot kasi siya yung inaapi palagi. Most of the time yung member ang matitigas ang ulo talaga na parang okay lang na gumawa sila ng mali kasi di naman sila nakikita ng pastor, tapos pag icocorrect ng pastor yung pastor pa yung nagiging masama. We have different cases of "church "hurt" and I don't want to invalidate the feelings of those who experienced the worst. But let's reflect din sa mga ginagawa natin kung okay ba yun oh nagpapa bebe lang tayo para sabihin ang church yung nag hurt sa atin pero sa totoo lang yun yung consequences sa mga ginawa nating mali eh. But if you feel na parang sobrang off na talaga mga ginawa sayo, sibat kana, mahirap yan kasi kahit sabihing focus lang kay Lord di maiiwasan na mafefeel mo talaga ang bigat sa puso dahil nasaktan kana. But sorry to hear kung ganyan na experience nyo sa church, praying that you will find the happiness and peace kay Lord.

This is just a testimony that humans fail, but God doesn't. The church can fail because leaders are not perfect, so don't make your faith dependent on authority but stand firm to your conviction. Focus your eyes on Jesus, not on people; that is worship. If you look at people, that is idolatry. Faith is not dependent; it is seeking God.

I just want to give these people a hug and would continually pray for them and hope that people close to them would walk with them with grace, truth and love. Church hurt is real, there is no perfect church but I know God is still in the business of transforming their lives. 🫶

There’s no “perfect church” thing Church is not a place for holy people its a place for sinners. Fixed your eyes on Jesus brethrens the author and perfector of our faith for we serve God not human standards. I thank I belong to a genuine and full gospel church. Thank you to my pastors and leaders for pruning me to become resillient and steadfast ❤

If you leave the Church because you're offended, then where would you go? The Church is the congregation of believers. The bride of Christ. It is the bastion of Truth. Christ died for the Church because of His love. Focus on the Lord. Forgiveness is a product of God's love and we owe it to Him that we are expected to do the same to our enemies, neighbors, families, and most especially brethren. Remember that love covers all sins, even the sins of the world, so love is our weapon to overcome revenge. Our example is the Lord Jesus Christ who is blameless but died for sinners like us. Man's imperfections surely might offend us, but the perfectness of Christ in us through God's love will surely comfort us. Matthew 5:44-48 KJV But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; [45] That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. [46] For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? [47] And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? [48] Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Some people look for a church that accommodates their sins.

I was also healing from church hurt, and one thing I could prove from my experience was that Jesus is the only one who truly understands your circumstances and struggles. You will occasionally come across the most judgmental people in the church, who will break and disappoint you in a thousand ways, but by God's grace, you will be able to accept and forgive them and realize that even those who constantly preach the word of God are still human, and it's okay to leave rather than lose yourself and suffer along the way because no matter what happens, God will always be with you.

Reality the church will hurt us because church is the full of imperfect people. So i really advise focus on Jesus alone, our pastors, leaders, and even our own family will fail. But God never ever fail us. Just trust Him and have faith ❤ even i felt it before, i focus on them like i see them as a role model. But reality they will fail and even hurt you. That's why focus on God alone. Hopefully those people who have been hurt have true healing in God's hands. God bless!

Gusto ko na sana itigil panuorin yung whole vid but the conviction of the Lord is telling me to finish the whole vid and just listen. And as I finished watching it, I realized that kagaya niyo ako before. I was so hurt, and I felt that no one really cares for me, my family, the church, the people that I was with my whole life serving the Lord. Because of so much hurt, I came to a point that I declared to my friends that I would no longer be a believer of God, I just know that he exist but not for me, para sa iba lang siya nag wowork. I stopped going to church and tried to cut off all my connection with them and with the Lord. I'm so focused on myself, the hurt that I've felt, the feeling of being alone. Been so depressed and tried so many times to end my life and questioned God why he is letting me experience all of it. The pain is so much to bear.

But by the grace of God, I am now fully committed to him again. my faith is so much deeper than before. I was redeemed by his grace and mercy and his love. And when I asked God why he let me experience all of that, this is one of the reasons for it I believe, because he wants me to understand people like you, us, who have been hurt by the people that we least expect that would hurt us. God knows the deepest pain you have in your heart. He sees you, walang luhang pumapatak sa mata mo ang di nakikita ng Lord, lahat ng iyak, pagod sakit na nararamdaman mo nakikita ng Lord yan. God is telling you now to surrender that to him, all of that pain, hurt, pride, betrayal that you have in your heart right now. Just surrender everything to him. Let God take all of that burden you have. We are in a falling world, where people will keep hurting us whether we like it or not. But the good news is we have a God that will never leave us nor forsake us. If ever mabasa niyo tong comment ko please, pray and surrender everything to him. He is waiting for all of you. Miss na miss na kayo ni Lord. Hayaan niyo siyang yakapin kayo and maramdaman niyo yung comfort niya. May purpose ang Lord sa lahat ng pinag dadaanan naten, we may not know the answer now but as a person who has been in so many aches and struggles, God really has purpose for everything. Just keep trusting him. It's time to restore that faith, pray and read your bible. God is waiting for you.
