I'm a journalist/author who's interested in sewing, nature, the critters of the world around me, and other random moments of beauty, so that's what I post here. I used to have a sewing/historybounding channel called Cozycore, which YT accidentally deleted (they deny it). I've already reposted some of my Cozycore videos, but if there's one you remember and want me to repost, let me know.

Join me as I look through the pages, projects and slow-stitching techniques in my stitch journal from Spring 2024. Yes, this video is long overdue! Several of these pages were made during the 2024 stitch-along with @k3n.clothtales. Please check out her channel if you'd like to learn more!
I buried my embroidery in the ground for three months

This stitched and eco-dyed book was made as part of a stitch-along with @k3n.clothtales. In my version, I used cotton cloth and thread, and wrapped it with blackberry leaves, calendula flowers and rusty screws to dye the fabric as it rested in the earth for a whole season. Now it's time to unwrap the bundle and see how it looks! Find out more on k3n's channel: Making the bundle books: th-cam.co...

Take a peek into the stitch journal I made from an old, unused junk journal, including many prompts from @k3n.clothtales. Then see how I've turned an old bullet journal cover into a new stitch journal - with cloth pages and a slow-stitched cover. Thanks for watching!

I wanted to make sure I understood - were those real leaves you found and embroidered?
Yes!
Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful Beth, I love those portals especially ❤
Thanks, Kathryn, for all your work and inspiration!
Who better to read Seamus Heaney's poems than Hozier?
all I've ever rlly wanted is for andrew hozier byrne to read to me
Why have I never hear this beautiful man reciting poetry before!? I fell upon it whilst listening to Take Me to Church for the millionth time and was reflecting on the fact that it was poetry when this popped up on my feed. I'm so excited to hear this. My heart is singing. ❤ Thank you Hozier. Thank you.
Thank you so much for posting this. Your coat is gorgeous! I'd been waffling on getting this pattern for ages, and your results convinced me to go for it!
oooh, have fun with it!
Really loved all the pieces. Very nice and creative!!
Thanks so much!
poetry is a funny little thing, isn't it? it speaks to the soul like nothing else. thanks for putting together this compilation, it's fantastically convenient!
This video was a lucky find for me. I have this pattern, but I hadn't decided what to make it from. The corduroy you used is similar to some I have that I ended up not using for a different jacket. Your end result looks so good, that's what I'm aiming for now! Thank you.
I'm so glad it was helpful. Good luck with yours!
that was so easy, thank you!
So glad you found it helpful!
I was looking for a poem to send to a friend who just lost a cousin...oh, what, what what was the poem that Hozier read about if you suffer I will die again? And then I found it here and sent it to her, and she will be comforted, and thank you so much for compiling these treasures for us. And thank you to Hozier for reading these to us when the world needed them most.
I'm so glad you found it. I hope it brings your friend some comfort. <3

The high speed is freaking me out.
Fair, but it's only for the first 15-20 seconds!
I love your book, each page is a beauty! I particularly love the blanket stitched pages, because it’s one of my favourite stitches and you did it beautifully 💙♥️🩷💚🩵💜🤎💛🧡🩶❤️
Thank you so much!
Absolutely lovely journal! I am inspired! ♥
Thanks, Nancy!
Great video. Love how you combined paper and stitching!!
Thank you!
I enjoyed going through your stitch journal with you, and listening to your comments after not having looked at it for awhile. Your birds were charming. I am in the process of doing some of those pages now, and it is always interesting to come to the end and realize i ended up in a place I didn't intend to go by a color choice, or texture of threads or fabrics. Like you, my project doesn't quite fit the page either.
I'm so glad you enjoyed my video!
I saw your post on Kathryn’s Facebook group and had to watch it! Your stitch book is amazing and I love your adorable wonky birds 💙🩷♥️💛🩵💚💜🤎🧡🩶❤️
Thanks so much! I should do more of them.
What a beautiful stitch journal, inside and out!
Thanks so much!
Thank you so very much for sharing this gift! 🌈
Your intro was wonderful. Thank you for sharing this journey of retrieving your eco bundle. ❤
Thank you!
Gorgeous.
Thanks so much!
I am excited to see what it looks like!!
The calendula gave it such a neat color, and I definitely dig the pattern of the screws.
@@crowsong8097 Yes, I'd like to try more but all my calendula plants are currently unhappy!
thank you so much for this. I love you <3
It's absolutely beautiful Beth ❤
Thanks, Kathryn!
Hello 😊
Woah I cannot believe this exists thank you
You're welcome!
Love this so much... really like the back for some reason. I have the same trouble with shoulders always too wide!! I need a course on how to edit shoulders and should pads for all my jackets. Have a lovely peaceful break.
Thank you! There are definitely tailoring courses out there (I know of one happening soon in SF, but that doesn't help you!).
these are beautiful. thank you for putting this together
Never get tired of listening to Hozier reading poetry. Best way for drifting off to sleep. Love that Irish accent.
hahaha same here.
wow! i really enjoyed that Beth! thank you!
Thanks! <3
Wow! I've never heard of a stitch journal ! This is absolutely beautiful. I have done junk journals in the past, and I love the idea of little bits of handiwork collected and preserved in a journal. It really gives me inspiration and an answer to "but what do I do with it?" after completing small works. I don't do stitching or embroidery (paper collage is my thing/ ATCs) I have tons of old ones and am now thinking about making a journal to collect them. Great work, you are a wonderfully creative soul!
Thanks so much! <3 I'm glad I could give you some ideas.
This is SOOOOO cool, Beth!
Thank you!
What is a BuJo cover?
BuJo is short for bullet journal. (I discuss this in the description as well as the video). It's a type of planner/journal that you fill out and customize to your own needs.
looks so good!
Thank you!

Love the way this turned out!
Thanks so much!
Hi I was hoping you could help me. I keep getting quilting, and patchwork videos. I never click on them, well except for this one, I'm not subscribed to any of them and I have never researched how to quilt. Yet I get lots and lots of videos on how to quilt, how to patchwork. TH-cam does not answer me so I thought I'd ask if you for your opinion. Thank you for anything you can offer.
Thanks so much for watching at least enough of my video to ask. :) TH-cam may be recommending videos to you because you watched/liked/commented on OTHER videos that TH-cam thinks are connected or similar in some way. I don't pretend to know how the algorithm works 100%, but if someone likes a video you liked, and they ALSO liked one of those quilting/patchwork videos, then YT will see if you want to watch it, too. You can tell TH-cam to stop recommending things on your home/recommendations page. On each video, just to the right of the title/caption, is a small three-dot menu. Right-click on it and choose "not interested." If you do it for enough of them, it should get the hint.
Thank you Beth for your suggestion, i'll sure do that. I feel bad that I didn't watch much of the video but, I'm just not a quilter. I'm sure your channel is lovely. Thanks you for the suggestion.@@beth_winegarner
It's incredible how much you can feel his respect and love for the art he's reading
this is so cool!
Thank you!

This is WONDERFUL ! Thank You !
I like that! It’s very pretty!
Thanks so much!
This is unvaluable. I remember having the luck to watch a few of these live, and it feels like yesterday. Such a weird time that of the pandemic and the reclusion. It was so heartwarming to see many artist jump on to lives to share a little bit of their quarantine time with us. But Hozier's instagram lives have a special place in my heart. It just hit different. So thank you for rescuing these and not letting them be lost to oblivion.
I'm so glad you like it!
I don't usually comment under people's videos but this was really nice! I love having sewing videos in the background while sewing myself ^^ The end result came out great! Makes me want to try my hand at making a corset at some point
thank you so much! I'm glad to be an inspiration.
I realize you're going for the cozycore theme, but I just feel like you need to include some Metal somewhere.
I did have one video where I was altering the necklines on several t-shirts that had some royalty-free metal music in the background, but I don't know if I will repost it. It wasn't a very popular video. :)
