Great to see you enjoying the bike, looking forward to watching more rides of the bike. Stay safe and enjoy 👍
Hello Iv recently bought x3 he has given me a 30 day warranty I’m not sure but Iv noticed when accelerating I get a judery jerky acceleration I’m wondering if this is the same problem do you have the video you saw to diagnose your issue if so have you a link to it please if I can diagnose this issue maybe I can take it back to them and they sort it under warranty I don’t know I’m just chancing it only had it a week and stumbled across this issue when doing a long journey thanks in advance
Have one. Always loved them. When i dont want to put anymore mileage on it i'll bring it into the house so i can look at it all day. From every single angle they are beautiful to look at. Best of luck with it mate.
Thanks for your comment. Always regretted selling her. Mine will also be in the living room to look at. Ride safe
@@Motorbikesandlife Atleast you have it back now. All part of the story mate :)
got the same bike, got it in 2016...done about 50 miles since lol also have the 99 mille
Thanks for your comment. Bet they look stunning
Meat Pies and Bikes
Nice bike matey, good mileage too.
Good video. Had my RSV Gen 2 18 years and over 90,000 miles. Only issue the, stator which is a known fault. I've put 4 in. You can now have the flywheel derated back to 370w which was the Gen 1 output. Guy who works for Rotax in Austria, does them. Cures the issue.
Thank you for your comment ride safe
K5, i believe.
@BarnettSpeedSuzukiThou Thanks for your comment. It was our K2
@@Motorbikesandlife my apologies I didn't realise.
No need to apologise thanks for joining in. The K5 was an awesome bike. Ride safe
Hi guys… I believe you’ve swapped the pillion seat for the GX one… can the riders be swapped the same as?
Thanks for your comment. I believe they fit as we have been told that the padded seats for the GX fit the GT. Hope this helps
@ thanks for info.. may have to look into that for my boney backside lol… keep up the vids 👍👍
Hi guys was getting worried there as you were on your last few Ltrs of fuel, yeah don't miss the U K weather hope you don't get Snowed in what with that storm hitting the U K ,was out on my bike today it's getting nice and warm down under 28 Degs + heading down the coast tomorrow ok guys stay safe , Frankie from Oz .
@frankhughes9590 Hi Frankie enjoy your riding in that beautiful weather. We are in snow now so not much riding for us. Ride safe
I’m miffed about choosing a winter bike I can’t make up my mind apart from I think it’s got to be Japanese I like the Suzukis I had a vstrom a few years ago a 650 and enjoyed that bike but I’m not sure about either the gsx800 R or S I think the S be more comfortable when I sat on both then vstrom again 1050 or 800 probably 800 in the blue/black with gold wheels I don’t ride off road or once the salt has gone down so it should keep in good condition and a lot of fun I think great video take care ride safe mate
Thank you for your comment. Wow you have a real tough decision to make there all the above are great bikes. I did a review on the GSX 8R. Ride safe
249 now 👍👍
Thank you so much
@ no problem, happy to help… I have the exact same bike 👍👍
Hi my good friend good to see you out on the bike stay safe Frankie from Oz
@frankhughes9590 Hi Frankie thanks for your comment
Mine does different rattle sounds.Depends how cold or very hot it is.
Thanks for your comment. Can't hurt to get it checked out. Good luck
@@Motorbikesandlife Off course...But asked the dealer when i get there for the first oil change and he told me that thats the way the engine sounds and works.
It's actually called "Jamaica Inn", not Jamaican Inn.
@@simonlye007 thank you
Great vlog and many thanks for taking us to Cornwall just saved me a fortune on fuel and digs. Great video thank you
Thank you for your comment ride safe
Hi there I’ve got the gsx s 1000 2022 got the same problem took it to my Suzuki dealership yesterday for my 7500 service and told them about the rattle from the engine the mechanic checked it out today and they phoned me up to say they need to replace 6 shims I will send another message when the work is complete
Thank you for your comment I look forward to hearing your results we hope that this cures your problems. Good luck. Ride dafe
Any chance of providing the link to the video you mentioned showing the same symptoms? I have 435d and has what is best described as a 'stutter' throughout the acceleration. No fault codes, engine feels strong, just feels like a drivetrain issue (getting the power to the wheels), thanks.
Hi sorry can't remember the link. However mine did the same as you described good luck
Channel name change confused me for a second then, but saying that these days thats not hard to do 😂 looks like you had a decent run out 👍🏻 You guys doing the Ride if Remembrance at Squires on the 10th November? Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Hi thanks for your comment. Yes we are hoping to make it. Name change due to alot of other Midlife Crisis channels and I thought I was more like an Old Git Crisis so we are just seeing how we go. Ride safe
@@Motorbikesandlife lol you still the original to me mate. Take care 👍🏻
Hi Adie its Frankie from down under nice Video great to see you out with your mates shame the sun never showed it's face , hope your good lady is doing ok ride safe my friend 😊
Thank you Frankie are you out and about on your bike yet?
Ah the old Selby Fork Motel
Had my wedding night there back in April 1980....I lived it large hahaha 😂
I wasn’t going to say that I will now, that’s more like it, Adie!
Thanks for your comment
The problem with having the valve clearances set to minimum is that the service intervals will now be shorter as these type of valve set ups usually close with mileage and not open up as with others.I have no intention of having mine done as I can happily live with a very slight 15-20 second tick after a hot start. My mate who is a tech at my dealership has listened to mine and assured me that absolutely nothing is wrong with it or anything is likely to go wrong with it. Iv'e known him for over 40 years and he's worked at my dealership for nearly 50 years so I think I can trust him!! Glad you're happy with yours now, I have a '23 plate black one but I can't stop drooling over the red one in their window !! Fantastic bike whatever the colour.
Thank you for your comment. Glad yours is good however to be honest mine was a lot louder than a tick it was more like a loud knock. I will say my blue bike was absolutely fine and needed no work at all it just had the normal Suzuki tick which my red one now has. I do agree with the service intervals as your mechanic has stated. They are awsome bike and the black is stunning ride safe
Not been out for about 2 weeks, that video shows what I'm missing 👍🏻
@@Lee-gsx thanks for your comment
get mine back tomorrow after 6 weeks away awaiting the oe shims... must be in high demand ... need this to be the end of it!
Thanks for your comment. Fingers crossed for you hopefully it will be sorted
I’ve noticed your arms looks very straight in the opening segment of the video. When I review my footage riding the GT I look the same and wonder if I should add spacers to bring the bars back an inch so my elbow has a bend in it.
Thanks for tour comment. To be honest I think it is personal preference you just need to be comfortable. The bars can adjust towards you without spacers if you are happy with the height. Ride safe
Hi my good friend looks like the weather is fine and dry on your own I see ? hope your good lady is ok ? guess the bike is running ok ? guess you won't be doing so many Videos as your winter is round the corner ? take care & ride safe 😊 Frankie ❤ to you both
@frankhughes9590 Hi Frankie. Our winter is nearly upon us but got some holiday videos coming out soon so hope you will enjoy those while we wait for the better weather. Have a great season and ride safe
Noticed mine had a warm start rattle after 550kms, called the dealer they put me onto the mechanic and they said it was " normal ", they will check it at the 1000km service. Has there been any actual failures on these engines due to the rattle or is this just a feature ?
Thanks for your comment. As far as I am aware there has not been any failures it is just a rattle however we do have a 7 year warranty so I would not worry to much. Ride safe
@midlifecrisis22 unfortunately in Oz it's only 3 years, but I think enough to work out if a long time issue, mind not expecting it to last as well as my '99 VFR with 85,000miles which I sold after 19 years and still running like a Swiss watch to a mate...
@@John451vfr these engines will happily last the same as any VFR.
Interesting, mine started the hot start rattle after 500kms, was mildly annoying for a brand new bike, oddly its good to hear others have noted the same thing, so thankyou for posting.
Thanks for your comment good luck getting it sorted
life saver...i had the rear diff oil done but not the grearbox...i didn't know about front diff oil omg ill order that now too...booked in on 14th October thank u so much
Thank you for your comment good luck
What size / profile rear tyre did you use, heard some have gone to 55 from the standard 50 ?
Thanks for your comment I stayed with the 50 profile
Thanks for sharing, glad you recovered and back out riding Jamie 👍🏻
Thanks for your comment
Thank you Adie, for the ride out. Really enjoyed it. Hopefully plan another one again soon. Jamie
@jamieevans9674 thanks for your comment Jamie. Anytime was a great ride
Thanks for your helpful info. What evidence do you have that Suzuki UK are willing to undertake a warranty fix on this issue 'cause that's what my dealership are going to ask for.
Hi thanks for your comment. My dealer which is Two Wheel Centre Mansfield and they did all the work under warranty.
I have the 2022 model I got back in June and this has become my absolute favorite bike. I just installed some Pirelli Angel GT's on it and cant wait to take it out again!
Thanks for your comment. Great tyre's enjoy ride safe
Hi mate, it was me who you referred to about changing the oil to see if it helps, I've quit FB now so best I reply here! I changed it at 3700 miles (I don't believe in manufacturers interval of 7500), I used Castrol Power 1 semi synth and a genuine Suzuki filter. It has reduced the rattle substantially, but not completely. Although it could be because I'm hyper sensitive in listening out for it. Bike's been to Belgium and back since the oil change, so plenty of opportunity to get hot! Dealer 1st year service is due in march, I'll probably just wait until then to flag it up, unless it gets noisier again. You're right, the 7 year warranty does inspire confidence, and it is an absolutely superb bike, so much so that I've exceeded my PCP mileage of 4k within 7 months! I've done 4800 miles on the original tyres, still got at least 1500 left on the back, and I've not had a problem with handling, only "feel". They'll be replaced with Michelins when the rear wears out though. Keep up the good work, Regards Alex.
Hi Alex thank you for your comments glad your loving the bike hopefully you won't get stung too much for the mileage. Your right the bikes are amazing ride safe
Love me 22 busa 🏍️
Thanks for your comment they are an awesome bike
Good video mate, sound quality bang on, credit to you 👍🏻 Too many 'profiting' from us all to drop down fuel prices for us 🙄 Keep up the good work, thanks for sharing. 😃
Thank you for your kind comments
Why minimum clearance when they close up with mileage? Full synthetic is not necessarily’thinner’, ie 10w-40 can be had in semi or full.
Thanks for your comment always grateful for more information
@@Motorbikesandlife you’re welcome 😁 I just refreshed my SP-1 and set the valves to middle or slightly more clearance as shim type close up with mileage. Screw type tappers open up and get noisy. Triumph have just extended valve adjustment mileages by doing the same by opening up the clearances at build. With oil, get the right viscosity for where you live and the spec that the manufacturer states
Some/ most helmets have a notch in the padding or a removable slither of cushion to accommodate glasses. I'm sure your aware of this but thought ide share, might help, might not. Really enjoy your vids and your riding style is similar to me too. Currently have a v Strom but considering a gsx for next year. My wife and I don't get out much together due to young kids, love the general chats you have together, makes me look forward to taking her out when we can.
Thank you for your comment. Hope you both get out soon and thanks for the advice. Glad your enjoying our video's ride safe
Hi mate just been watching your latest Video, good to know the bike is running smooth my blue Gsxs gt hs now covered 35,000Ks with no issues with the engine ,after all the K5 engine has been in production for a long time ,early 2,000 i think , stay safe my friend 😊 Frankie from Oz
Hi Frankie glad to know they like to do.the miles ride safe
Just Done an Oil Change Silkoline 10w40 XP Maybe it is just in My Head but everything Feels Smoother gearbox as well. Seems to me that Suzuki Dealers will Do the Valve Check Adjustments as They won't want to Replace an Engine I assume 7 year warranty means 7 years of Dealer Service? What are the Valve Check Intervals On the GT ?
@jefflambert8603 hi you are right after the first service my gearbox felt clunky but after putting fully synthetic oil in it has gone back to super smooth. I'm not sure of the service intervals for the valves maybe someone else could comment please.Ride dafe
@@MotorbikesandlifeI believe it's 15k for the valve service
Howdy? Ive an ould K6 GSXR in the shed. Sounds just like it. Sounds great. Some say it sounds like an angry goose.7 year warranty. savage.
Hi thank you for your comment ride safe
Quick ask guys… the wife has started complaining of an ever so slight judder between the 1500-2000rpm band in her 2016 F25 X3, just hit 76k miles. Could this be oils in diffs & transfer case? She doesn’t drive it like a hooligan, however I’d of thought after 76k it wouldn’t need changing just yet? No warning lights or engine management light on! Thanks
@Dazvanman82 hi thanks for your comment I would say very possibly can't hurt to change the oils
@@Motorbikesandlife no worries. Very good original post & really helpful.
Cheers for sharing you two, very enjoyable, you two are so chilled out just as it should be 👍🏻 Wednesday is biker night 😉
Thanks for your kind comments. Unfortunately I am usually at work on Wednesday hope it's a good night
Hi guys can i ask were the valves needing adjusted ?? & if so did you get a paper readout of the work carryed out ? Stay safe my U K friends . Frankie from Oz 😊
Hi Frankie. We had a total of 10 shims changed all between 0.5 and 1.5 thow which has made a difference. Also we found out that our dealer uses semi synthetic oil where as Suzuki recommended fully synthetic so we have had that changed as well and the bike is lovely and quite.Take care and ride safe our friend
When I changed out my diff oils X5 (front and rear) the front Diff had only 0.3ml and the rear was 0.6, 120,000kms they both take about 1lt, both were smelly and i also changed out the transfer case and gear box very easy by following TH-cam my car runs so well. I have done 230,000kms and ready to do it all again, car running good. these are not life time oils and they do get low.
Thank you so much for your commen
So chill, so pleasant, not trying to spruik a product. Nice viewing thanks. Turbine smooth sound from that donk. I pick up my GX tomorrow, I'm one up and fun size so it fits me. Greetings from New Zealand.
Thank you for your kind comments enjoy your new bike ride safe
Hi guys nice to see U back on the bike what's the story about the recall is it to do with the valve clearance ? Is the recall only from your 2024 model ? As I have not received any information from my dealer regarding my 2022 bike , stay safe my friends , Frankie from Oz
Hi thanks for your comment. It isn't a recall but it is the valve clearances. These have now been done and the bike is great ride safe
Thanks for your comment this video was recorded before the bike went in sorry for the confusion. Ride safe
