Important note: This section of the Siskiyou line is back in service and there are traims that ho through here
I had heard that as well. We were very cautious and didn’t travel into the tunnel at all for fear of a train….
@@R2ROverland Good call, if somehow there was an incident just know those tracks are restricted to only 10mph so they can stop quickly if they see you!

We've been renting from Papid Pleasures up at Shady Cove so we've gone from the dam back down to Shady Cove 4 times. We just got our first raft, a 12 foot Bris as it was affordable and now looking at other nice day trips. Is this a good section for beginners? By the way the 12 foot self bailing Bris from Amazon was only $1300 and every bit as nice as the expensive 12 foot rentals. Any advise for day trip locations would be great! We are not exactly new to rafting, we just love the float! 😂

Was the camping there where you rode and the cost per night was it worth going to there.
Absolutely worth it. It's all dry camping, but it's free. Your ATV needs to have a valid permit.

Awesome video man! I love the truck cabin. I'm sure it stays nice and toasty inside there! I just started making truck camping videos myself. Not as fancy of a camper as yours but you'll have to check them out! and I love the PNW. Was just up that way about a year and a half ago
Thanks! Yeah my Mr. Buddy Heater will cook us out of there in about 10 minutes on low. It has rigid foam insulation. I will have to do a Tour video when I get all the Details finished.

Thanks! Yeah it is a bit more ATV friendly. But we saw a few side by sides.
Do you recall how long that trip was? I was down there this last summer scoping out the river. Such a beautiful area! I'd like to plan a kayak trip for summer 2022. Also, you don't need a permit for that section correct? Any info would be great. Nice video!
It took us about 4-4.5 hours. And yes, you are correct. You don't need a permit until Graves Creek. It's a great run, with some flat water towards the end. But it's worth it. We have recently been running Hog Creek to Galice. That is an awesome run as well!
