The problem with getting pinned and blood striping is the idea that some dude you dont even know and may not be cool with is just using their position to hurt you and theres nothing you can do about it except stand there. Its different if youre doing it with dudes you are tight with or mentors or something. If folks wanna initiate the boot corporals or junior marines I always thought it was better to take em to the bar, or take em out for some crazy PT or something that actually builds comradery. I always told people before my ceremonies if anyone I dont know tries some shit we are going behind the building and sorting it out
