Hello there! My name is Cody, also known as, CB. I enjoy tinkering on vehicles here and there. I prefer to work on my own vehicles when I can and I'd like to try and start posting some of the vehicles I work on. I am aiming to be somewhat entertaining, but, also be somewhat educating. I'd like to try and make sure I upload quality content but, I do currently have a full time job so I might not be able to upload consistently. Please bear with me, I'm just a guy with a GoPro...

Dodge Dakota Chasing Down Electrical Issue!!
มุมมอง 334 วันที่ผ่านมา
Welcome back to another Bust'n Bolts Video! In this one, I was diagnosing an electrical issue on a 2005 Dodge Dakota with the 4.7 V8. At first, I hastily figured it to be the ECM on the truck. But, with a little time and patience I traced down some wiring and finally came across the culprit! A bit of the wire harness that travels down in between the firewall and engine had been rubbing a bracke...

Here's Ol Smokey. 1989 Ford F250 with the 460 and a 5 speed manual. I was hoping to be able to keep this truck but unfortunately it needs a wee bit more motor work done than I had hoped for. It doesn't hold good oil pressure, smokes like crazy and leaks oil from just about every spot possible lol. If I had the money I'd hang on to it... but, maybe in the future I can get me another 460ci projec...

Hello viewers! This is my new to me truck, 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 Classic. I'm mostly a Ford guy, but, my old boss wanted to sell this truck so, we worked out a deal. I've been driving the truck for several years at work pulling a 14' enclosed trailer loaded down with a gutter machine and plenty of other tools inside. This truck has the 3.23 rear gears, so it did struggle a little but has al...

How NOT To Properly Remove A Dashboard! Crown Vic

In this Video, I show you how "NOT" to properly remove your dash board and how to get to the dash cluster so it can be sent in for repairs. This is a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria. This is meant to be a somewhat goofy video and not meant to be taken too seriously. The very much needed repairs to my dash cluster were done by Keyworks ECU Repair @ecurepair . They did a great job! Hello, "Bust'n Bolts Garage" I was analyzing your channel and saw that in your channel have some problem, That's why your channel is not much growing and not getting much engagement, If you can solve these problems, Your channel will grow like a storm. I must say that was a pretty cool timelapse
Thank you very much for watching!
Hey guys, thanks for watching! Something I forgot to mention in the video... go over all your fuses/relays if you're still having no start issues! In the video, I said the truck "fired right up". Well... I failed to mention, that was after figuring out what fuse was blown 😅. Unfortunately, I don't remember which fuse it was since this video was made over a year ago. But I know it was a simple find and fix.
Very informative. told me exactly what I need to know.. never buy a dodge Dakota😂
@@lawnscapeofcf lol! Well, they're not all bad. Some will go on forever and some will have these crazy electrical issues that'll drive ya nuts!
@OverTorqueIt ya o actually had a friend who had some unreal amount of hours on his. I cant remember exactly. But it was over 500k and he ended up sellingg it in good running condition
Any of the cats deleted?
@@1badvic358 No cats. But I'll be looking into getting some high flow cats installed when I get some money saved up. It sounds great, IMO. But in my old age, I guess the cabin drone is starting to get to me 😅
ruh ro wheres 5 O
Right behind me like always 😅
That sounds pretty good
Why does everyone get lazy and not tie them in to the side cab to hide most of it. I woulda did it differently but love your truck.
I guess I don't understand what you mean by tie them to the cab.. you mean like the height/width with the cab? I suppose when it comes to stacks there's a lot of personal preference. Honestly, I'd probably never do stacks again... found out real quick they get in the way of actually using the bed lol
@OverTorqueIt see the border in front behind door, tie up n thru there so ur pipes are hidden except tips. Trying to explain but idk what else to say.
You have your bed, come up in between there but before they poke out flare them into the body. So they arent exposed.
Essentially moving them 2" forward. If you pause ur video at the beginning, its directly behind where u need to tie it in.
@@Ophanim_Cherub1.4 Ah ok, I get what you're saying. Yes, in that case, I was lazy about it 😅 Thank you for the feedback, I do appreciate it.
Listen to that Ole ford.. them stacks though
Are the cats still on it or cut off
Currently no cats. I will be adding some Magnaflow Hiflo cats in the near future to try and quiet it down. I must be getting old, cause it's getting a lil annoying to drive long distances lol
I love the sound
Thanks!
I'm not a ford guy But i do like those older ford trucks
Lol whoever owned it was a real......We need a crazy muffler swap. No stock. Time to pimp out that thang out
I do plan on a muffler swap for sure, just not anything to crazy. If I feel the need to lose my hearing I just ride in the ol Vic lol

@@OverTorqueIt as far as fords go, it seems alright
sweet ride for a Ford
lets see this puppy run!!
Im doing the exact same parts to my 86 460 truck. Litterally same parts and truck just 4 speed. Excited to do this
Is it straight piped all the way down ?
Can you tell me what is in this for a transmission I want to 4x4 swap mine
Is that a 5speed with 4x4?
Thanks for watching! Yes, this is a 4x4 with the ZF5 5 speed manual. There are a couple different variations of the ZF5, I believe. Small block, big block and I even think the diesel is different. If you're doing a swap, you may want to do a little research on it just to be sure you get the right one for your application :)
I have lol I know my way around a zf5 my best friend has had one simce we were in high school but I just didn’t know they made belt housings for big blocks I only ever seen them on 302 and 351s
Still have the cats ?
I miss my GoPro. No idea what happened to it. Either way, fantastic video! I had a similar exhaust setup on a Marquis I used to have.
Is this true duals with x pipe and muffler?
Yeppers. And all 2.5 inch pipes starting from factory manifolds all the way back.
How much more power do you notice with the Weiand and the headers? Did you do the conversion from EFI yourself? I just picked up a '90 F250 extended cab 4x4 460 5 speed. It's definitely already needed some work! The power steering wasn't working at all so I wasn't about to try driving it over 120 miles home. It also would just fall on its face as soon as I hit 3rd gear. Got a new filter, new front tank, the rear tank pump doesn't work so that's going to be done soon. Apparently the brakes are also in need of work. I'm happy to convert it to carburetion though as I have always felt fuel injection is not as efficient. A TBI would give better fuel economy than direct or port injection. Anyway, I'd been avoiding the 460 for the fuel economy and they're really great engines with huge potential! I now have 4 F250 4x4's. I like the idea of the extended cab and it has the Dana 50 TTB front and the Sterling rear axle. I'm considering Frankensteining the 6.9l diesel into the '90 for the cab and the 5 speed, I really do like the NP435 4 speed for crawling but the 5 speed still has a decent low gear ratio in first.
Thanks for watching! Unfortunately, when I first got the truck, it was only running on 7 cylinders. So I don't have much of a comparison between the EFI to Carb. But I do know it runs much better on all 8's! Also, someone was already doing a rigged up job on trying to convert it over to carb. So what I did was swapped the heads from the '89 EFI ones to a set of '87 Carb'd heads from a 460 my uncle had lying around in his back yard. Then I got me the Weiand intake since the factory one weighed at least 90 pounds! lol. And the Edelbrock 600cfm was already rigged on the EFI intake, so I didn't need a new carb. Also the headers are for a 87' f250, since the heads are different from the EFI ones. So I was kinda lucky that my uncle had a 460 lying around with good heads, made life somewhat easier in my case. But I was also reading that apparently there's a cobra jet intake that will fit the EFI heads and make it so you can do the swap... I'd do a little research on that though if you're really wanting to swap to carb. Or if you are able to get your hands on some carb'd 460 heads, that would get you going in the right direction... I like your idea of swapping in a 6.9 diesel in your '90. That would be a cool setup with the 5 speed!
That engine is dynamite
I find it interesting how some cars now days have 4 exhaust pipes like the new Toyota Camry don't know why it has them but none of the panther car got them
4 exhaust tips.
What kind of pipes I need same exact pipes u got
I got the pipes off ebay. Just search up "2.5 inch stainless steel exhaust kit" on ebay and you should see some kits from several sellers... I just went with the cheapest one lol. And it was the 16 piece kit. 4- U pipes, 4- 45 degree pipes, 4- 90 degree pipes and 4- 4 foot straight pipes. I just looked and see a few kits on ebay now for around $170 bucks. I actually bought 2 kits just so I knew for sure I'd have enough of everything, which I did need some of the second kit. And for the X-pipes, kinda the same thing, just search them on ebay or even amazon and find the cheapest. Just make sure the x pipe looks just like the ones I got. If you watch my first vid you'll see how they look. They have a bigger center and better flow. And for the mufflers, I just re-used the old AeroTurbine AT2525's that I've had on the car for the last 6 years. Thanks for watching! Any other questions, just ask and I'll try and answer soon as I can!
What size are those tips
Wait till may and you'll see some fun stuff on my channel also!!

I think the Crown Vic is the Harley Davidson of cars in many ways. Not exactly fast, but powerful and iconic just the same. Both machines with an unmistakable sound and presence.
I've thought about putting some on my MGM. Sounds good.
Not a big fan of the cruising rasp but I love the sound at WOT.
This is a lot more unique sounding than most setups I've heard; it's got a certain low end and grit to it. Not sure it's quite my taste but it's a respectable and worthy setup.
Loved the video dude, cant wait to hear your truck rumble. Keep us updated ! ☮
Looking forwards to seeing the truck running!
Here are the parts I used for making the custom quad tips. (Sorry it took me a while to finally put this up!) Stainless Exhaust Tips, 2.25" inlet/3" outlet by 8" long from Jegs. 4 of them. Part number: 555-30940 And I got a y pipe from amazon. I'm sure any ol y pipe would work, long as the diameters are correct. But here's the one I got, TotalFlow TF-SY2524
Almost heard a whine. I'm trippin
Yo clean vic sounds good my guy!!! I'm getting skull tips put on mine!!!
Also see you in fla lmk if you ever near PC area!!!!
Yes. That big v8 breathes now
Looks and sounds good. Can you include the links for the set up
Sorry for such a late response! I pinned the parts I used to the top of the comments. Thanks for watching!
Sounds mean as hell 😈
Sounds horrible, should have kept the stock setup, delete the mufflers and run it straight out.
It used to be muffler deleted with stock setup, when I first got it. But way to quiet for my taste. I like to actually hear my car idle lol
@@OverTorqueIt if too quiet, delete the cats. You'll get a lot more of the deep sound you're looking for.
@@JohnSmith-xx1lx he did delete the cats 💀
Did doing any of this to the car turn on any lights on the dash ?
Yes. Got a check engine light now. Just installed some 90 degree o2 spacers on downstream sensors to see if that fixes the problem... worked on my f150 so I'm hoping it works again on this lol I don't really care much though, I've never had a car without at least half the warning lights on the dash blinding me at night.
So you deleted all 4 cats? How do you get around the check engine light
im not sure how he got around the front 2, but on mine the final 2 cats dont have oxygen sensors, theres a piece of mid pipe between the 2 pairs that has a sensor, im going to experiment and delete the 2 rear cats and see if i get a light. (I drive a 2001 p71 for reference)
@@dudemanproductions6532 yeah i know the front 2 is what I'm talking about. Without a tune or some o2 bungs welded in the pipe. You gonna trip the cel.
We gettin more vids of this thing man? Can’t get enough lol
I'm trying lol found a few nice back roads... I mean "closed courses" that I want to tear up soon as I get a free day. Stupid work and life getting in the way of the fun stuffs I wanna do.
