Not a real scenario of removing a hood. This tool is nice to have but is not as easy to use as the video depicts. Funny how the hood was just magically sitting on the truck. Kenworth trucks have been the most difficult to use this tool on at my shop. The grille opening is the most practical place to grab hoods with this tool but removing the grille from this particular hood while on the truck would be very difficult. You don’t have the luxury of lifting the hood this easily when there are torsion bars, springs, and or cables attached. There are many struggles involved with using this tool and a bit of a learning curve also. I watched this video in an effort to learn how to use the tool on this particular truck and was very disappointed in the demonstration.
Anyone know how to do this shit for real this time?
How did you get all of the hinges and hood cables etc.. off before using the lift? Would like to see that part of the video.
The hat guy has it made
I’m looking for the bearing that help the lift slide up and down… where can I find these parts?
price?
Not understanding the lock mechanism
Oh ok it's a safety lock in case the cable breaks....got it
Do have video of you removing a car hood or lift gate
How heavy is hood?
