Back in my day we were simply called truckers. Now a generation later it's called ice road truckers. When I drove these areas, we had a convoy carrying freight, bull dozer, welding materials and even wooden blocks and chains. The heaters in our trucks just kept up so we didn't freeze, however we were dressed for the trail. Glad to see it's much better now.
