👋 from Pemba I've been collecting mini amps since 1983. At one time I had over 800. I still have over 600 in my collection at this time They're fun to mess around with' modding and such. One of the easiest mods you can try is to set a mini amp inside a cardboard box' different size of boxes/placement inside the box will change the tone/volume of a mini amps. Volume being the more noticeable one and at the same time gives the speaker a wider range in tone. Not as boxy inside a box. Ha Ha but have found this to be true. Another fun thing to do is' cosmetics' for instance' I have a black star fly 3 with the ext cab mounted inside a 24'/18" cardboard box disguised as a fender twin reverb' used some old fabric I had laying around for the grill cloth cover/small lids from soda bottles etc of your choice and a sharpie to draw out details etc. The biggest advantage is the increase/wider range in volume.

I’ve begun getting into mini amps. The Orange and the Fender mini twin tweed mini amps I have sound surprisingly good if mic’d very closely. They’re perfectly usable in a home studio. That Fender Mini Tweed gets great trashy distortion. It sounds VERY heavy on tracks.

I had one of these for about a week or two. I was excited to get in some inspiration on the go. But then i realized how finicky the quantization was. Tried groove mode, and live record or by play mode. Nothing seemed to work. sent it back.
