Replace temperature sensor (temp II sender) on '87 Vanagon

'87 Vanagon was experiencing a rough idle when cold. Replacing the temp II sender fixed the problem but, as always, the process meandered its way to completion.

good video tip... having the same issue on my 87. also, my tach can be iffy so I'll also check those wires.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Fixed my van after watching this
You said that it started when driving in a heavy rain storm. There may be an additional solution to this besides the temp II, plug wires having small cracks in them and hold moisture/water. WD40 is your friend, spray the engine wires down really good and see if it cures a rough idle. BTW, 87 Westy's are the best year!
Bonnie’s strong voice reminds me so much of her Father’s powerful Broadway Stage voice.
A great duet on a beautiful song.
Sounds Great James, with the perennial UV drummer John Foster! Hope you're doing well, happy all holidays to you all!
Thanks! Nice to hear from you. Hope you're well. Peace!
Please tell me there is a Bonnie and Jackson album out there somewhere... If not there really needs to be! I have heard a few songs they have performed together and all of them have just been magical!
Thank you! while My Guitar Gently Weeps takes me back, way, waaaaaaayyyy back. Sweet.
One of my favs from Mr. Simon, and a great original!
Thanks man!
Chanced upon your channel while on Nora's. This is nice. Hi from the Philippines!
Thanks!
Love it!! Any room in there for a drum?! Ha!
Thanks for the comment I hadn’t seen that video for many years. It was such a treat to have those cars visit Lyme.
When I was a young girl....😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥
Thank you for sharing the foliage with us West Coast folks! I really enjoyed your video. Hi to the family from us! ~ Savitri
Glad you liked it! Now it's just getting cold and we're scraping the car windows in the morning :p
Thanks for sharing! Wish I could have seen this parade in person.
Great choice in music, political candidates, not so much
J'adore~ Jackson Browne~
Love the original version by John Prine and all the rest of his songs!
Liked her until now, supported Edwards??? YUK!
post the whole video instead of a janky potion great song but whoever posted it blows
Wonder if they regret this benefit performance in light of circumstances. JB's haircut almost as good as Edwatds.
Beautiful harmonies...!
when today's young are old john edwards will be forgotten but there will still be bonnie raitt fans
One of John Prine's best songs!
All hail queen Raitt.
Grande Bonnie
O my Gosh
You'll waste votes on just about any politician dude. Especially a Democrat. The difference between their rhetoric and their personal lives is breathtaking. Just take Livin' large AlGore for instance. Try Googling "Al Gore living large"
Beautiful performance. Love Boonie's soulful voice. Too bad John Edwards turned out to be a fraud - I wasted votes on that clown. Lol.
John Edwards came and went but the song goes on
@CA5EY11 ...nah. You're pulling my leg. That was a good one though!
I've always thought of Bonnie Raitt as essentially a guitar player... silly me she's got serious pipes, and isn't afraid to use'em "Blowing Away" TH-cam with Linda R at the Lowell George tribute was my first education... very emotional, and wonderful night and version
One of my all time favs
@kidn They play together on occasions with Crosby, Stills & Nash. They all run in the same circle of friends.
Years ago I went to Jackson Browne concert. His opening act was a new singer named Bonnie Raitt. I remember she was awesome. Still think they are both fantastic. It was in Dallas @1975.
nice ..... but too bad the end is cut off short
@dylanc00 Nope. Absolutely not.
These two sound so good together, I've enjoyed them for years; just sucks that they were suckered into believing the lies by such a low class lying cheater like John Edwards! Thank God he never got farther than he did, what he did to his wife & children was just a preview off what he could have done to America.
man shees still hot!
ahh the beautiful unison from two wonderful voices!! How I wish that I could have heard them live! Thank you for sharing this living sound!
could I love 2 people more???
@CA5EY11 ..is that supposed to be a joke?
I had never been a fan of Bonnie's, because I saw her, in person, in Sacramento, California, in 1982. Frankly, her show sucked. I realize, now, that she must have been sick, or otherwise indisposed, that evening. I now love her voice and guitar work.
Luckily Kerry and Edwards lost
Bonnie, we've both come a long way from those schoolyard days... and you just keep getting BETTER. Looking forward to your next trip through LA!
she's perfect, just perfect... dame it, she's brilliant!!!
I LOVE this song in her voice
oh yea thats my girl.... and my man.... bonnie and jackson... angle from montgomery just give me my guitar she inspired me way way back i the 70s she started the girl guitarist love her
