Got the exact same ski from a person that hadn’t started in years so it was shooting nasty water out of the cylinders when I took out the spark plugs, I got all of the water out and got it to start but it won’t go over 8mph on the water

All the spacers I've seen say for 2wd i thought you needed the lift springs for the 4x4 model? But they fit and truck looks good. Did these say 4x4 or 2wd?

😢 Does the oil injector move with the throttle. What makes the injector move. I just installed carb & cables. The throttle operates great however the injector is not spring loaded & doesn’t move with the throttle cable. Does it move only when the engine is running? Thanks.

What is the black box called in the back, I think you referred to it as a “boot”. It is at the back of the seat near the tub with the fire extinguisher.

OEM number is 3746 but I will like to know if the crankcase are similar? I need to buy used one but there is more possibility with other models, can you help with the info. Thank,

That is definitely a North Carolina bus, so I'm guessing you are from North Carolina. I used to work on these type of buses for a living. The 8.2 Detroit's in my opinion are tough. Diesels the fuel pinchers are hard to beat. They will crank when it is single digits outside. If you don't believe me, I have a video of me. Cranking the 8.2 with it being single digits outside. Just one thing that I will warn you about the fuel solenoids on those buses can be a royal pain in the fanny panny. So with that being said, what I did on all of mine when I worked at the bus garage was I ran a ground from the solenoid to the alternator because if you don't if the solenoid gets too hot it will ruin it

I find it interesting that you didn't video the removal of the intake or the exhaust manifold. Neither just lift out.

I think what your are calling "sand" is really dried crystal salt mixed with alloy corrosion. Pretty common on these skis in salt. But for sure that thing has been sunk or at least drinking salt water from the intake, never flushed and probably water left in the exhaust after use.

You need to run this on waste motor oil. You can get it for free, clean it in a centrifuge and drive it everywhere for free.

Lucky find! Getting a bus for free is no easy task. Hope you guys get a lot of use of it.
