I started with a cheapo hammock (30$), and then I upgraded it with kammok tree straps and some super beefy carabiners. I really enjoyed it and went and got a kammok mantis. The big thing i like about kammok is the hammock doesn't require you to use knots to hang it. I recommend getting an underquilt, and a victory blanket for under your hammock for your shoes and whatnot. My next big purchase is the kammok outpost so I don't need a tree to hang the hammock.

That audio issue is a Bluetooth issue not a ford issue. My phone has done that in cars from 4 different manufacturers. Also legally it is not supposed to be accessible for you to turn off the seatbelt chime at all. Want the chime to stop? Actually wear your seatbelt. Want your truck to last a lifetime, actually give a shit about it. Put floor liners in, seat covers, wash it regularly, think about what you throw in the back. Mad about the scratches in your bed? Put a liner in. I dont know what to tell you, all of these "problems" sound like nitpicks. And then you come off at the end of the video like "im a truck guy! Im gonna do truck stuff with my truck!" Then literally everything youve complained about with acception to the traction controll issue is you being mad about your cheap truck not being a luxury vehicle. And if the traction controll issue happens again, take it to the dealer.

Loved this video. "Hang" in there and you’ll get better at setting it up. That thin line that runs across you hammock is a ridge line that helps to keep the 30 degree sage in your hammock while you set it up. But truly one of the funniest videos I’ve seen in a long time.

Use the backside of the blade it has a 90 degree angle that scrapes the rod better. And you don't want to dull your blade.

first of all use the sharp end of knife to lightly scrap shavings off rod over leaves or dry tinder then flip knife over and ignite you don't have to press down so hard if you have shavings over nest..ur welcome..

in a Ziplock bag stored on the quad, keep a pill bottle full of cotton balls soaked in Vaseline and a Bic lighter. For the price of that, Leatherman you can by a NOCO jump pack or a Harbor Freight winch mounted on your quad.

Use birch bark. Shred it up and it will take a spark. Also you can make fire starting material using cotton balls soaked in petroleum jelly. Throw them in a zip lock bag and carry it in your pocket or leave them on your atv. Also use the back edge of your knife. You could also gather some birch bark and carry it in a zip lock bag. You may want to pick up a bigger ferro rod. Good job. Keep practicing and you’ll get better.

You bought the cheapest truck model on the market, but seem to expect it to be the same quality as a 60K truck. Your expectations aren't reality. I purchased my 2024 Maverick to be a step down, and to give my F150 a break. The gas mileage is great compared to my V8, but I realize it is not perfect. I expected the paint to be thin on mine, and put a bedliner in to accommodate that. You get what you pay for.

Keep the striking device, knife in this case, stationary close to material and you move the ferro rod twards you, you wont hit your material away as easily and be able to throw sparks easier. It should not take that much pressure either this way its more about the speed and light pressure.

You’ve conquered the cabin. You have acres of beautiful wilderness, maybe use some of lessons learned from TH-cam videos you’ve watched and sharpen your wilderness survival skills. It’s good for the soul. That would be some great content following the cabin build.
