Yes, this entire 7 hour video is just a single loop of the beta file select song. A Very Special March but all the in-game sounds are added back without the player's sounds. This was done by playing the stage like 30-40 times and cutting out every noise that Nabbit made (stepping, jumping, screaming, bouncing, ...). I then replayed the stage with Mario while avoiding all coins (most of them anyway), avoiding bouncing, and no killing anyone. I don't know if you can dodge that...

Not actually a PB, but my PB was segmented and half the run is missing. I'm very rusty and this was a very bad run, very easily beatable. I also have to look at the route again. Press B then A, small pause, B then A, small pause, B then A, small pause, ... This strat is kind of finnicky to pull off however but allows you to get better times more consistently. My PB is 15.23 which was pulled off using the old strat, but I rarely get timed above 14.5x with the old strat. 2:00:54 Tip: you can make Luigi go besides Mario by doing the thing were he goes to the background (I forgot the term in English, but it's what you do when you press *R* and then *B* ), he will basically warp behind mario. Pretty useful when he falls and can't come back in a normal way
It has definitely been a very useful tool in a lot of places! I didn't do it here purely because it was faster to just go backwards a tiny bit. I do like to abuse this trick in Dreamy Mount Pajamaja though And now I think about it, I should use it in Bowser's Dream too

Is no one going to point out that all the cutscenes are skipped frame perfectly, but the "faker" one is allowed to play in its entirety?
You can not skip the faker cutscene due to being embedded straight into the boss fight. You gotta watch the cutscene 4 times when going for the boss emblems :')

I think what couldve been really cool is if they gave us a postgame, someone on shipshape would inform Mario and Luigi that they were able to "tame" some of those plants that had people in their own imagination, but they tamed it in a way to where they were fully safe and also how that was the way to refight the bosses, explore the soli-tree again, and even do previously missed sidequests by just being able to imagine any scenario.

how come the tick X quiz is orange and blue instead of red and green?
3DS's with the Japanese region have a different colour for the Tick-X-Quiz, and I hadn't changed my 3DS' region yet when I did this run. That being said, I have no idea why it's tied to the region and not the game version

@@Pixiuchu In my playthrough only the rematches lasted that long. Maybe I kinda overleveled or was too zealous in keeping up with the equipment and bean upgrades, but Bowser, Glohm Bowser and Zokket only lasted 4-5 turns for me. The Extension Corps lasted a bit more but that's due to their fight being mostly scripted.
I know this is a speedrun, but you not hitting the action commands just..really, REALLY irritates me. But on an unrelated note I’m currently hoping Nintendo will add an OFFICIAL emulator for 3ds games.

I know that everyone is disappointed that this game doesn't have a post-game, and I am too honestly, but knowing that every other Mario & Luigi games also didn't have any post-game I wasn't really expecting this new game to have one But yeah, it would have been great for once

As much as I liked brothership, I HATED the fact the game basically said f you to those who wanted to keep playing after the final boss. That red sky and the deppresive music really prevented me from doing post game stuff.
The fact is, there is NO postgame stuff. The quests become unavailable as soon as Reclusa is unleashed and the grand total of 3 boss rematches doesn't really hold up to stuff like the coliseum from BiS

Is it possible to go out of bounds to skip the Great Conductor fight?
People have been trying but for some reason Conductor Island is a lot more resistant and keeps teleporting us back in. The walls are also much higher. I was going to try it myself when I got there in my current playthrough but I've been taking it slow so itll be a while lol
I was doing a challenge run where I would try to KO Luigi at the end of every fight and always have him stay at lv 1, but this run ended when I reached the Great Conductor fight. After a lot of experimenting, it seemed there was zero chance to defeat him with a KO'd Luigi. In the end I've decided to resort to glitches just this once, and that's why I'm asking if OoB is possible
Yep, the current record for lowest level is 17/34 (Mario/Luigi). Only reason Mario is 17 is because of the Great Conductor. I was in fact planning to do a level 1/33 run with skipping Great Conductor myself after my next playthrough. I'm sure it's possible somehow, just really hard and it's unsure if you can *actually* skip him.

I tried it today, got 3 jumps upwards along the tree, tried again from the same spot and the same technique...did not work again. Any tips?
You need to use the right stick to attempt selecting a move, which prevents teleporting for some reason
is it possible to access the cannon this way too? I did this to get a postgame save file, but I wish i could visit non-linked areas and potentially even the final area again, i want to see what the final boss room is like in a postgame state, does it trigger again, is it an empty room, is it an empty room with unfinished collision past where the cutscene would start? So curious
The end of the video shows that the cutscene trigger for Snoutlet is too big, and someone did try a lot more than I did but was unable to get into the cannon at all, so no, unfortunately not. If you *could* get into the cannon, I theorize the only areas we could go to would be Soli-Tree or maybe if we're lucky Fortress Zokket. But yeah... rip
I knew that Brothership was probably not gonna have a post-game, which stinks because I really wanted to get those last achievements and figure out what the Allsand Island swirly thing is (still haven't figured that out at the moment, so no spoilers). I was literally 1 Conducter Connecter Excellent away after beating Reclusa, so it stinks I didn't get to get that achievement, but thanks to this video I finally did! Glad there's conveniently a way to have some sort of unoffical post-game! Thanks Pixi!
This is honestly all I wanted as a 'postgame'. They literally had to do almost nothing other than make the cannon, blue pipe and Save Blocks accessible during the epilogue. It even makes some sense that the Glohmed and Reclused townsfolk stay that way until you truly restore Concordia. They could easily have tweaked the story so that the Soli-Tree didn't collapse, so that you could keep going back there until you finally decided to replace it with the Uni-Tree (triggering the ending). It's like they didn't even anticipate the possibility that somebody might want to keep playing after reaching the ending once. If I'm going to level grind until I truly get tired of the game, I don't want to have to do it in a bleak, depressing world where all the music is the same! For those who are having trouble with the glitch: - Luigi's positioning before you switch to Fire & Ice seems to matter too. - Trying to switch abilities soon after you clip is important, or you'll clip back in. - If you jump too often after the clip, you'll also clip back in. - In my experience, 3 jumps and an attempted ability switch right after is the sweet spot, after that I can slowly 'walk' upwards until I pop out of bounds. - There's a reason why you have to keep looking at the map: you need to UFO Spin at the locations shown in the video and with the same trajectory, or you'll fall back into the map, possibly getting stuck and forcing you to go back to the title screen. - You can also use the background scenery to check if you're in the same position as the video. - Lastly: once you've managed to get below the blue pipe, make sure to jump into the *very bottom* of it, or Snoutlet will stop you and send you back in bounds.
Those are basically my thoughts, it really sucks an end-game save file is stuck in the depressing world. It was great and eerie to explore Reclusa World, but after beating the game I lost interest to come back to my save file and do the remaining stuff. At least I can replay the game all I want. And thanks for the tips! I could have done a better job myself explaining, but I guess that's too late for that. Maybe I'll make a proper tutorial video some day.
how did you manage to delete save data? did you just never save the game to begin with?
I simply never saved, out of curiosity to see what would happen (nothing special). Would be great if we could delete the individual save files, really odd choice that we can't, but oh well.

You can't reach the cannon, and even if you could you can't move your ship over to Mynor Islet which is where you gotta go to get to Bowser's Castle in the first place, so Bowser's Castle (and any other islet) is completely inaccessible. If you could get into the ship, *maybe* you can return to the final area, but that's unconfirmed. You can do the fire & ice glitch in other places, though, it's currently used to skip a small part in Skorcheen Island

It is the fastest way to get to the jet booster, actually, because there's a bridge that doesn't fall if you go that route. It's also done by basically every speedrunner and TAS
This is honestly cool and weird seeing Golem enemies and hearing the happy normal background music
Kind of wish they let us go back to before the enemies where all ghlomed there are so many enemies that would be easier to farm off of with the seedle badge, but seeing as they're made into the cloning varient you cant seedle them anymore for a large amount of golden seedles...
It's the biggest reason why I wish there was a post-game. Well, specifically because I really wish I could go back to a Concordia pre-Reclusa World. It's just not fun to have to get the last stuff of your game (including the Seedlify plug) when everything is in the state of Reclusa World still. I beat the game, let me get my reward by returning back to normal. Basically Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga's Beanbean Castle Town problem but on steroids. Definitely my biggest complaint of the game. But, hey, this glitch is possible so we do have *some* sort of post-game content! lol
@@PixiuchuI agree, I hope they add one in an update or a DLC to add more. Like a "Return to Concordia" update. Perhaps even a BOSS ARENA? Glohm Enemies could be rare. Perhaps another story that adds a bit extra content AND even a few new Bros Moves? PERHAPS those backgrounds exist add there was more planned? But it'll be like an update?
@@AuraPhotonReality One can hope. I know I'd pay for DLC for this game. I'm pretty sure the backgrounds that get loaded is the normal background that shows up in late game, just without the mist, which is probably just a different flag in the game's memory.

I generally find the real world boss battles harder than the dream world boss battles
i like the final version because it sounds like a music box, more inline with the rest of the series

A bit out of the ordinary from what I usually post but it's allowed me to test the waters with Davinci so expect more. I couldn't find a video that was like this, so I did it myself. Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a great game and this is the best song in the game.
I love how Sonic gets the fifth hit on the golem, while the golem is breaking down, he runs around the back and homing attacks to hit him a sixth time... and then on the win screen, Sonic basically says 'Nope, not good enough', says fuck you to the win screen and gets a seventh hit during the win jingle after doing a victory lap of the arena.
This was actually a motivator for me to make this TAS. It's just a cool trick.
