Saracen Truth Defenders Flute Band, Belfast July 2019
The band returned to Northern Ireland for the Annual Boyne Celebrations 2019. This year, 2019, the band had the pleasure of parading through Belfast as we accompanied LOL 609, East Belfast.
A thoroughly enjoyable day and a welcoming display by all supporting the parade.
On July 13th, before our own Sash Bash in Jumna Street Blues club, we started the morning with a moment of reflection and tribute at the Three Scottish Soldiers Memorial.
The band played a short hymn before laying a wreath, showing our gratitude and remembrance to those brave three young men.

Saracen Truth Defenders | The Somme 2017

The band, alongside Kirkintilloch Baker ABOD, headed to France and Belgium in order to take part in the Menin Gate service. Whilst there the band also paid tribute at Ulster Tower, Thiepval, Passchendaele and Tynecot by both playing and laying wreaths respectively. This was an experience of a lifetime and an enjoyable, moving experience for all.

The band took to the streets of Prestonpans on Saturday 24th June 2017 in order to proudly lead the East of Scotland Annual Boyne Celebrations.
