Epic Trail - Melrose | How much EMTB battery will you need? | Remarkable Epic!
มุมมอง 9136 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is my experience doing the Remarkable Epic with a Shimano EP6 with 630wh Battery. All bikes will be different same as rider weight, if you can change your setting via an App, I’d recommend that. If you have a 720 or bigger battery you’ll be sweet. If you have smaller than 630wh, I’d be doing it in Eco all the way. Also if you’re female and light, I’d say if you have a 500wh or over you sho...

The rattle must drive you mad?!?
Nice one, i have not been out there for a couple of years everyone keeps telling me the new tracks are good ill have to go have a sus one day
@@Scotts_Singing_Sends they’re pretty fun, very mellow like OHH but still good. If you’re after some fast steep stuff like Kangas, there’s something a little further south that’s 🤫😉
Have to go check out that new one, wasn’t open when I was there last. Best shady trails for summer riding!
Could you do it slower... I missed half of it :)
@@Rnegade944 haha my shakey chest mount makes it hard to watch 😂
What's the biggest chainring ypu could fit on that which work work for a gravel build
@@trailwayfilms that’s up to you, I’ve fitted a 32 for MTB riding. No reason why you couldn’t go as big as a 116 link chain allows
Cool cheers. I'm not very knowledgeable on bikes but I've got the same crank as you was worried about the clearance of a 40t ring on the frame
Really nice job.
niceeeee - looks stunning bro
Nice, I’m gonna try this with my cadex road bike, Love the snake skin look!
Thx Nice video
Those colors look so good. Have seen a team GT Tequesta for sale same colors but has scratches
Was this the 440 meter track or the 1.2k one?
1.2 km one
So have now got an mt800 bottom bracket that screws into my 1990 timberline but I think need some spacers as it is longer than the width of frame The frame is 68mm. The mt800 only came with 1 small spacer. Do you know how I can make it work?
@@epexlinux the BB is usually 68-73 so should fit but you may need to find a couple more spacers for the off side. Look on eBay if you can’t get through bike shop
@nigehill thanks Nige will give it a go
Does this derailer need an adaptor to fit onto an old GT frame? Also you mentioned some spacers for the crank? Any help would be apriciated.
@@epexlinux no the derailleur hanger is universal. You just need 51mm spacing chain line or if you convert and older square taper crank, mount the chainring where the middle chainring would go
4:58 Does not bother me the side angle because when i sit down my weight will make the nubs flat on the ground.
Do you know the model number of the deore crank to get the chainline correct?
@@epexlinux it’s a Deore M5100 crank
@@nigehill Thanks for reply, would this work with a 10 Speed deore cassette am also looking at a Microshift XLE Mech, not sure if this would work
@ yeah I dont see why not
does anyone know the model of the crankset with a 51mm chainline? everything i find online is 52mm...
Paradise
Fantastic build, great video! What tyres have you put on?
Just had a stem like this replaced to bring bars back and up , needed a new brake Assy to make it work , mid 90s tequesta
What app are u using

I’m interested In your upgrades. I have one and love it because it is a tank. Although I need some upgrades. Especially the rear. Shock. I have not been able to find a new shock that screw into the back bracket. I also want to add disc brakes to it to upgrade
I got dinky ass 19.5 mm internal width syncros wheels, going to try a 2.3 maxxis, got 2.2 wtbs right now (edit) got a killer deal on a maxxis agressor double down casing 2.3 size and got a dhf 2.3 exo for up front. Coming from wtb beeline 2.2s very mellow xc tires

This looks good. I have an old GT Palomar and would like to do the same to give it a new life. Do you think it would be the same setup?
@@epexlinux yep same will work for sure
That bike is so sick I would do unspeakable things to get my hands on that bike😭 they don’t make bike the way they used to same thing with cars everything new sucks expensive and built to break 6 months after you buy it
Great looking bike👍🏻
Not a single word about the '96? Cannondale Super V2000? Why the radio silence and zero coverage? I still cruise my '95 Super V1000 with the massive 1st Gen swingarm, love that bike!
Schwinn what a fun bike. I would love an old schwinn.
Great to see old bikes being used as they were built for, not turned into commuters/ light gravel bikes with Billy Bomkers on, I managed fine on my early 90s bike now and back in the day when 7 spd Deore/ XT thunbies were King, my 7/8 spd 1989 Deore thumbies still work perfectly in 2024
I bought this exact bike in 94 still have but it is faded badly. Mine came with full XT components and Mavic rims.
I have a Cannondale f3000 sl is a good one? And is the version with idraulic disc brakes
1:10 I actually did crash there. I drifted too far to the right as well and slammed into the hill side. Still got the big scratches on my arm to show for it. Glad you were alright. Nice riding man👍🤙
@@CinematicJack7 yeah it’s a long jump and if you’re off line your only hope is a wall ride really. Pretty high speed place to crash. Lucky no bad injuries for you mate
@@nigehill Yeah, thanks. I was lucky with just the scratches. Back on the trails a few days later. That trail is sooooo sick. By far my favourite.🤙
Looks great! How you finding the Marin e bike?
@@fernandom6811 yeah for the money it’s a really capable bike, I’ve been loving it since I’ve had it
@@nigehill Great! thanks! ☺️
Great video, you’ve got a new subscriber! Bike looks good in its original faded blue.
Great to see it finished , cool looking trail. Ill hit it up Monday : >
Everyone is taking that same table to flat (where you got close to the wall)
@@Swerval yeah it’s definitely a fast step up. Also the trail flows better if you don’t do the big one I think
Where is This 🙏?????
I love my 1998 GT Zaskar. I also have a modern gravel bike, but the Zaskar is just the sweet spot for everything bumpy and jumpy.
I love this Nigel ! At the 23 minute mark behind the red GT Zaskar Le there is a hot pink 1994 Kona A'A. I wish you had showed that also. I had one and was my first quality ride in the 90's. Cheers from Nova Scotia, Canada !
what a dickhead video... go get a job... there could have been told so much more about these incredible bikes...
Great info mate very informative, thinking about doing the bale out this weekend 👍 Will be on a specialized turbo levo so was thinking I'd be pretty safe on trail setting.
Beautiful bike!
I have the same cranks - been itching to use. But I'm hung up on the 51mm chainline vs sub 50mm pre-boost systems... But TBF chainrings are available for older cranks and BCD's as long as you are running them in the middle possition.
Another banger 👌🏼
My first proper MTB that one. Same year and colour. Dying to find another one to do it up. Nice job as always.
That's awesome! I'm a huge fan of the these Tequestas. I have two 92s in this finish (Wild black daktari). One is an all original survivor down to the original GT grips and seat. The other is exactly this. Full shimano / raceface 1x11 build. So cool to see another out there. Great build! Love the mavic rims btw!
That Tequesta looks stunning! I have a 1992 GT Pantera AL (bright red) which I ride fairly frequently and I am currently working to build a 1992 GT Bravado (yellow) from the frame up. Can't wait to ride that too!
@@techjunkie68smusicandtech56 awesome! Nice collection, my first GT was a Pantera. Love them. 🙏
