Look at the picture above, each one of those lives was once a passionate aspiring medic, a motivated first year medical student, a hopeful junior doctor...until it wasn't.
The vision: To revolutionise medical eduction to create medical students and future doctors who no longer overwork and burnout. To create a new generation of doctors who bring out high quality care for their patients without sacrificing time or financial freedom for themselves.
I'm a final year medical student studying at the University of Buckingham, UK. I'm an aspiring clinical psychotherapist.

What's up guys! Today I will share with you one of the most important video I would've ever made in my personal opinion.
This is the summary and condensation of all the wisdom I've distilled from 5 years of struggling, failing and learning from my mistakes in one of the hardest degree you can do as an undergraduate student.
It might seem quite obvious to some, but I wish this video reaches to another young me who's currently lost in how to learn and study to pass their exams.

How are you able to then expect yourself to be the academic weapon that you swore to be if you aren't even your best self? As you will see, this video is nothing but a simple reminder. My obstacle was being trained and being given tasks from "non-marking staff members". I listened and did the tasks anyway even though I had already signed off because it felt essential to HELP OTHER DOCTORS AND SURGEONS to maintain the well-being of the patients in the ward and not just my personal academic success. It was the BEST DECISION I made based mostly from my Gut Instict because the Surgeon spoke to my Supervisor and she extended my training period! Eventually I was paid too! 😅🎉
Thank you Tian. I'm saving this.
Great vid !
Great video, thanks for sharing your methods
Thanks for your video, Tian!! No bullshits, straight to the point, And I love it. ❤️❤️
omgg thankuu, truly a lifesaver
The paralysis-through-analysis is a very real scenario that I've seen play out in engineering firms over and over again. Its all about understanding the bigger loop and being to break it to either push forward with a resolution or back off for better references. Some the smartest people I've ever met play the fool and some of the least experienced are the most quiet. I suppose in everyday scenarios it doesn't which camp anyone's on, so as long as they are still willing to accept mistakes and learn. Solid video btw.
Thank you so much, going to think alot about the Ego part...
Found what I always needed thank you for all this
What's one mistake that you wish you never made during your first/second year of medical school?
Hi, how can i communicat with u?
High quality analysis! For everything not just medicine.
For your perspective, can a regular student achieve med school? please give a honest response. Cause, many of my freinds and teachers told me that only the toppers of the classe can be a doctor and that i have to have a family member who is a doctor.
Very good comment, something that I intend to talk about on this channel as well. The short answer is: Yes. Not just a regular student, I would argue anyone can achieve it. I have no doctors in my family, I achieved TERRIBLE grades in high school. It will all means that you need to work extra hard in medical school but it's completely possible.
Thank you so much from your videos it’s so helpful to hear someone else express exactly how I felt when I was doing my program, I can’t wait to hear your suggestions for managing this whil in med school as I hope to return in a year
Thank you!
great video! really resonated :)
Hey bro Im a first year in med and your vids are really helping out! I wanted to ask you if you ever did research during med? Is it something that is worth it?
Thanks man! Yes I’m involved in some a couple of research projects but whether if it’s worth it will be dependent on what you want to pursuit in the future so it depends. Other people can comment or back me up here but from my understanding you would NEED to have more research experience if you are into certain specialties while they won’t be compulsory for other specialties when you apply for them in the UK. I can make another video to talk about this in more detail.
Hey Tian, this is my first video of yours recommended to me, and I’ve got to say i think this sort of content seems very niche to others but is actually very insightful and helpful to everyone. I’ve taken a look at your other videos and although im not in medical school, im a 1st college year student and perfectionist at heart, I’ve been pretty down recently about procrastination and regret from cramming and not studying or doing stuff correctly. Your experiences and ideas help out and ease my mind a little, they make me understand what’s really going on.
This is an amazing channel! Keep up the good work!
Thank you. I really need this. Please continue making videos! We would love to hear more from you.
Is it impossible to aim for perfection in med school? (Not a med student but going to be)
If you want to you can AIM to be perfect, but you will most likely never be satisfied. To be perfect is impossible. What’s important is that you still aim high, learn from your mistakes and forgive yourself for making these mistakes. They are just a part of the process.
A very good topic! Will make a video on this soon
THANK YOU I WILL BE USING THIS
This called me out on SO many different levels...
I'm not a med student but thank you for this video!!!
I just got you recommended to my fyp and I'm so glad I did! <3 I adore the way you structure your videos. Asking us how we're doing and actually following it up with how your own day is going, starting the session with a joke, and just the overall way you speak makes it seem like we're talking to a friend over a video call. Truly unique, homely, and incomparable style! <3
Thank you for your feedback! 😊
Yayyyy new video
Such underrated channel man, keep it up
Appreciate it
Felt that . This just happened to me
I think my biggest problem is the feeling of inability. I'm a Brazilian girl who really wants to get into medical school. However, during the process I feel incapable of learning... sometimes I think "how can doctors learn all that? I wonder if I can do it. This is so far from my reality". I feel the same thing when I'm studying mandarin. Buuut, after watching your video, my soul is at peace with this. Even though I'm not in college right now, I believe I can apply your concepts to my reality. Thank you very much. ❤❤❤
Thank you for your comment! The truth is, you don't have to know everything to be a good doctor. It's more about knowing just enough to make a good decision. You have a nice channel by the way keep it up! :)
@tiansmind aaawnn thank you❤️
you're so cute aldkjdsa
loved this video!! i’ve always wanted to journal, but felt like it was too unstructured and just another task for me to do. i’ll try viewing it differently
Thank you for your comment! Let me know how it goes
I wish that I found your videos sooner. I was academically dismissed from school in December 2022 and was wondering if you think there’s any chance that I could get into another school. Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
It would depend on what school you were dismissed from and from what country. It sounds like you have a strong will to get back into receiving education and that's always a good start!
"In the past, I only knew that most people often give up when they have completed about 80-90% of a task, so I continually remind myself: if you treat the end as carefully as the beginning, there will be no failures. Today, after listening to your video and reflecting on various past experiences, I realized that the failures I encountered were due to my limited perspective. Beyond this small circle , there is a much larger energy, a place of infinite opportunities and success! From now on, I will learn to combine the small circle with the large ones . If I give up after experiencing effort and failure, what difference is there from most people who stop at 80-90% of their tasks? The insights I've gained are very valuable. Thank you for sharing!"😅
wow well said, haven’t even watched the vid, but I love this
I am a third grade medical student. In these three years i always suffered from idea of being doctor. i chose this major in highschool just because i was a succesful student but actually i never wanted to be a doctor. i am sooo bored in lectures. i hate all the students in my class and case based groups. they are just so uncultured people and all their life is just studying. i have hobies which i am good at like playing instruments and being good at math. Wasting my time with memorizing stupid lessons is just an agony. And now i dont know what to do with my life i tought about quitting but i put so much effort for this university. Change scares me. what if i regret what if my new major will be worse. i always have been a succesful student in my life but now i just feel like im just a failure. i dont even care about helping people and human body anymore. i dont even want to go to hospital when i am sick. i had only one life and i wasted my potential.
hey man, think clearly and do not let pressure lead your decision, but also if you feel stuck do not fear quitting!
great video thank you so much for sharing. I won't let my pride get in the way/prevent me from asking for help, if I am given another chance
I wish I saw this video before I withdrew. Now I’m a dropout. But I kind of hate patient care. So maybe a little different story.
Love your summary
I am so sorry

Thank you for sharing from your heart. I was recently dismissed from a masters program which upon successful completion, held high hopes for me to get accepted to their medical school. I have had 9 months to process thru this loss but the pain is as present as ever. I am encouraged by your thoughts and ideas that I can keep trying. Thank you
I hate Internal Medicine rotation I’m in yr 5 I’m struggling soo hard I went through the whole of medical school from year 1 or 5 all alone. Idk what’s going on anymore. If I fail this rotation, it’s over for me. Idk why I’m doing this anymore. Anyway wish me luck.
Believe in yourself, just know that there's a lot of people in the same boat. You can do this
Even though I’m not a medical student (I’m actually an economics student), I’ve been able to improve my life and relieve stress after watching your videos. Thank you❤, bruv... Please keep it up!

Thank you very much! Bruv... When I watched one of your videos, I realized that I might have social narcissism. Now, I feel like you've given me guidance on how to manage myself in life, which has relieved a lot of my stress. Thank you very much
Thank you for your comment!
me too, thank you
How can you know my current situation? 😢 In college, some friends come to me to study together and ask me to teach them. Other friends come to me when they need help. But after that, I feel like they push me away. So, I slowly move away from them because I don't want to become a person who disturbs someone's life. Now, I feel like everybody run away from me...
Is this mean i am too guarded or what is the problem? Should i meet a psychologist?
As I'm not a licensed medical professional (yet), I can't really give you any medical advice. However, therapy or counsellig would always be something that I can recommend! At the end of the day, I believe it isn't uncommon for people to grow apart as they move on in life. The chances are: people aren't running away from you but instead are focusing on new priorities in their lives. It's usually unintentional and not your fault at all. While I don't know your situation, maybe it's worthwhile to really look at why you feel that 'everybody run away from you'? Can you pinpoint a reason or is it just an internal insecurity? If you can, how can you clarify if it's true? Remember, sometimes 'evidence' for an outcome aren't really evidence until you've manually connected to dots. Hope that helps...?
