Hi my wife, Fay and I, Lucas recently move from Belgium to my wife's native village : Chiang Dao in Northern Thailand.
We wanted to change our lifestyle from a big city to the countryside of northern Thailand but also to get closer to Fay's family.
Keep up with me if you want to see what is happening in our new life in this beautiful village nestled in the middle of the mountains.
On this channel we will explore this village and other parts of Thailand together, show life in the village, do cycling tour to explore around, cooking with vegetables that we grow here and above all having fun.

Discover around Chiang Dao - Episode one
In this video, we discover around the Chiang Dao area.
We went into the Doi Luang Chiang Dao to the viewpoint and the village of Muang Khon. We did a nice bamboo rafting during one hour
The next day, we went to Mae Taeng area to play in the Buatong waterfall (45 mins drive) and then we drank a coffee at Elely Café and watched elephant eating and bathing.

Today we went to help the community cutting down a tree at the community space called "Sala" in Thai. I was a former gardener in Belgium before moving. Since we moved to Chiang Dao, we have been trying to create a vegetable garden like a little farm to provide us the vegetables we need. But the problem is diseases on vegetables. Recette de Somtam ( Salade de papaye verte) réalisée avec des légumes frais (papaye verte, piment, haricots, ...) directement récoltés dans mon jardin du nord de la Thaïlande. Recette : 1- Pilonner de l'ail et du piment 2- Ajouter et mélanger la sauce poisson, poisson fermentée, le sucre et le citron 3- Ajouter la papaye verte, les tomates et les haricots 4- Goûter et ajuster le goût si besoin
