My journey as a graphic designer has been transformative. Still i’m not fully financially independent but yes I can afford anything what I want for me or for my loved ones ✨🧿 Here are some key points that highlight my growth and achievements: ✅ Passion for Design: My love for design began early, and I pursued it with unwavering dedication. ✅ Education: I have no design degree ✅ Freelance Experience: Over the past three years, I’ve worked as a freelance designer. ✅ Client Success: I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse clients, delivering designs that meet their unique needs and exceed expectations. ✅ Creative Inspiration: Nature has always been a significant source of inspiration for my work, helping me bring fresh and innovative ideas to my designs. ✅ LinkedIn Milestone: Reaching 5,000 connections on LinkedIn has been a major achievement, allowing me to connect with and support others in the design community. ✅ Content Creation: Although creating content was initially challenging, I’ve embraced it as a way to share my journey and help others in their design careers. ✅ Financial Independence: Achieving financial independence has been a significant milestone, allowing me to fully dedicate myself to my passion for design and contribute to my field. ✅ Community Engagement: I am committed to being active in the design community, sharing knowledge, and inspiring others to pursue their dreams. ✅ Future Goals: Looking ahead, I am excited to continue growing, learning, and making a positive impact through my work as a graphic designer. Thank you 🫰🏻to everyone who has supported me along the way. Let’s continue to uplift and inspire each other in our professional journeys. .

Some things many designers wish they knew before starting their journey in graphic design: ✅ The Importance of Basics: Mastering the fundamentals of design, such as typography, color theory, and layout, is crucial. These basics are the foundation of all great design work. ✅ Software Skills: Becoming proficient in industry-standard software like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential. Familiarity with these tools can significantly boost your productivity and creativity. ✅ Creativity and Criticism: Design is subjective, and you’ll face criticism. Learning to take constructive feedback positively and using it to improve your work is key. ✅ Continuous Learning: The design field is always evolving. Staying updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques is necessary to remain competitive. ✅ Networking: Building a network of fellow designers, mentors, and clients can open up opportunities and provide support and inspiration. ✅ Time Management: Managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines is part of the job. Good organizational skills and time management are vital. ✅ Business Skills: Freelancing or running your own studio requires understanding basic business principles, including pricing, contracts, and client relations. ✅ Portfolio Development: A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of your best work is crucial for getting hired. Keep it updated and tailored to the type of job you’re seeking. ✅ Collaboration: Working well with clients, other designers, and professionals from different fields (e.g., marketing, web development) is often necessary and can lead to better outcomes. ✅ Self-promotion: Marketing yourself through social media, a personal website, and networking events is important for gaining visibility and attracting clients or job offers.

The phrase “never negotiate with clients” is often used to emphasize the importance of setting clear boundaries and maintaining the value of your work. Here are some reasons why this might be advised: ✅ Value of Work: Negotiating on price can undermine the perceived value of your services. If you lower your price easily, clients may question the quality and worth of your work. ✅ Professionalism: Standing firm on your rates and terms demonstrates professionalism and confidence. It shows that you know your worth and are serious about your business. ✅ Consistency: Consistent pricing and policies help build a reliable reputation. If clients see that you’re consistent with everyone, they’re more likely to respect your rates and terms. ✅ Focus on Quality: Rather than spending time haggling, you can focus on delivering high-quality work. This leads to better client satisfaction and potentially more referrals. ✅ Avoiding Burnout: Constantly negotiating can be exhausting and demotivating. By setting firm boundaries, you protect your energy and ensure that you’re fairly compensated for your efforts. ✅ Client Relationships: Clients who respect your terms are likely to be easier to work with and more appreciative of your services. This can lead to a healthier, more productive working relationship. While these reasons emphasize the importance of not negotiating, it’s also important to recognize that flexibility can be beneficial in some situations. Assess each situation individually to determine the best approach.

I find that the organic shapes, vibrant colors, and intricate patterns found in the natural world spark my creativity and help me craft unique, compelling designs. Whether it’s the intricate veins of a leaf, the graceful curves of a coastline, or the dynamic interplay of light and shadow in a forest, nature offers an endless array of visual stimuli. These elements remind me of the importance of harmony, balance, and attention to detail in my work. Furthermore, nature’s ability to evoke emotions and tell stories through its beauty and complexity guides me in creating designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also deeply resonant. In a world where digital and artificial influences often dominate, grounding my creative process in the natural world helps me stay connected * fundamental principles of design that are timeless and universally appealing. . .

COLD EMAILING Some people swear by it, some find it a waste of time. When done properly and tactfully, cold e-mailing can be an amazing way of expanding your network and connecting with new clients. (Let me know if you’d like to learn how to approach prospect clients to maximise your success!) Details below ✅ FREELANCE MARKETPLACES Sites such as @yunojunohq or @malt_community are like Tinder but for freelancers and their clients. They allow you to connect with clients, be discovered by them, and help you manage contracts and invoices. ✅ FREELANCE RECRUITERS The job of a freelance recruiter is to discover people like you but you need to let yourself be discovered. search for freelance recruiters and agencies that operate in your country or city, reach out to them, schedule a chat, and make sure to keep an eye on their Linkedln as they will be posting lots of freelance job opportunities right there. below ✅ CREATIVE JOB BOARDS Job boards are not only for permanent work - many of them also list freelance opportunities. Some of my favourite design job boards include @wethemakersjobs @ifyoucouldjobs @the_dots_uk ✅ LINKED IN Follow the brands you’d like to work with and their Heads of Design, Senior Designers and Art Directors on Linkedin and you’ll be the first to know when they post that they are looking for a freelancer to help them with a project. ✅ REACHING OUT TO YOUR NETWORK Remember, your network is your net worth! If you are looking for new projects, reach out to the clients you’ve previously worked with or spoken to and ask if they need any help. * What’s your most effective way of finding clients?
