Thanks for checking us out! We are a couple of newlyweds from Los Angeles, California who decided to quit our day jobs for a year and pursue our passions before settling down for good. On top of that, we plan to do it while traveling to 25 different countries across five continents, all while on a budget. We don't know what's in store for us but we know it's going to be one epic ride.

Liberdade - Brazil’s Japantown
มุมมอง 6Kปีที่แล้ว
Amanda and I quit our jobs in June and set off to travel the world. After two months in Latin America our last stop was Sao Paulo. With only 2 days we decided to stay in Liberdade, mainly because we love Japanese culture and wanted to see what the largest community of Japanese people outside Japan would be like. Also because we missed really good Asian food! Sorry if us gringos pronounced any P...

Amanda and I quit our jobs in June and set off to travel the world. After an incredible week in Rio de Janeiro, we spent a few days in Salvador, and we absolutely loved it. It was definitely more laid back than Rio, and we loved the local feel of a lot of the places there, not to mention the incredible food and nonstop music. Here's some information about the places in the video: 1. We stayed i...

We have been traveling nonstop for almost a year and have visited close to 20 countries around the world, and Rio is still one of the funnest places we've ever been to. Here are places we visited in this video: 1. Juice stand in Copacabana - Total Sucos 2. Restaurant with incredible view and super nice chef in Santa Teresa - Bonde Boca 3. Best sunset we've ever ...
Watching a live football game in Brazil!
มุมมอง 1.1Kปีที่แล้ว
Second day into our trip to Rio de Janeiro and we spontaneously joined a tour offered by our hostel to attend a huge football match in Rio de Janeiro. It was Amanda's first live sporting event that she's ever been to. I think it's going to be hard to beat!
First Time in Rio de Janeiro
มุมมอง 10Kปีที่แล้ว
Amanda and I leave our month-long stay in Buenos Aires to explore Brazil, stopping first in Rio de Janeiro. We stayed at Selina Hostel, just across the beach from Copacabana Beach, and it was amazing. The beach is probably one of the most spectacular beaches I've been to. That night we also hit up the Lapa neighborhood to do some partying - and found out that Brazilians love a party!
Family Trip to Iguazu Falls
มุมมอง 719ปีที่แล้ว
2 months into our world trip my family dropped in to visit us while we were in Argentina. My dad hadn't traveled for 15 years and my sister and little niece were joining us, so I really wanted to give them a treat. We decided to make the journey from Buenos Aires to Iguazu Falls, but on the Brazil side. Just to save some money we flew into the Argentinian side first and did a series of bus ride...
Living it up in Argentina's capital!

In this video we talk about what it was like living in the neighborhood of Palermo Soho in Buenos Aires from July 15-August 15, 2022. We talk about some things we didn't like, and the things we did like. This will actually be the first of several Buenos Aires videos so we will talk more about our favorite restaurants and cafes as well as other neighborhoods in our future videos. Thanks for foll...

Quitting our jobs and traveling the world in 2022
Just got back from Rio de Janeiro. Apparently, no one knows English. Even finding someone who spoke Spanish was hard. I gotta learn Portuguese
"Small", LOL. It has an area literally 50% bigger than entire NYC. 83 km of beaches in the city alone. Even without exploring too much into the North Zone, there are plenty of things beyond the basics you haven't done. Barra da Tijuca, for example, is an entirely different neighborhood, with just one of its beaches bigger than Copacabana and Ipanema.
Thanks for the video, Portuguese sounds like Japanese !!!!!
Ha! Bahians are a different breed to the rest of Brazil when it comes to spicy food.
Fully agree with not rushing it in Rio. You will need time to take it all in and Brazil is, generally, best enjoyed at a leisurely pace.
Good selection of music!
4:37 Alguém sabe o nome desse restaurante?
En serio
O taxista foi muito legal tentando seu melhor.
12:27 Nice editing haha
Actually, you said it correctly. It's pronounced liberdadje, as you said.
Hello, lovely video! What is the song at the end?
Rio ☀️😍
Thank you for visiting our COUNTRY we really appreciate it
My fatger used to take me to that big museum but i was to young to understand and appreciate all that history now i hope that someday i will visit that museum again soon
Brazilians love Asians. They'll take care of you there.
they actually have some pollo a la brasa places in LA !
reminds me a bit of a bigger version of Los Angeles' little tokyo. both are kinda touristy
I wish someday my dreams come true to see Brazil 🇧🇷
You will be so welcome here. 😊
Funny 😊,I love liberdade
It's actually Sao Paulo's Chinatown, there are more Chinese there these days like you two are Chinese I think quit jobs from America then Koreans and japanese, did you got it wrong? Brazilians always say Chinatown or Asiatown!
We don't usually say that, we just call it Liberdade that's it...
Like, like , like so like.

Hi really lovely video❤ . Hope you can see my comment here. Im travelling to Brazil in 2 weeks time unsure if we need travel health declaration form, covid vaccine certificate, yellow fever vaccine and etc? Thank you ❤
Hi thank you so much for your comment. We did need Covid vaccination cards, but this was about a year ago for us so I don’t think our information is up-to-date.
Idiots yakking away for their videos while other people are trying to enjoy their trip. These narcissistic influencers are ruining travel for everyone while scoring free hotels by being useless leeches on society.
atole = liquid grits
As cataratas são lindas demais!

Smart move. Hope you have a great time. Will be following you and looking forward to more videos
No maraca é assim!!!
Estou amando conhecer as cidades com vocês!

Are you guys still on the road? Long trips are so not quintessential American decisions. Good on you for this. Subed to watch more and see what you are up to. As a culinary anthropologist, I am so looking forward to this food culture. We are so excited to be in Peru next month and film it for our channel. Machu Picchu is #1 on my bucket list. We are a father and son who travel the World to plant trees, clean beaches and teach people about culture, history, and natural wonders. Glad to find your stuff and hope you might like ours too. - Bear
Wow! thank you so much for your comment. We ended our nonstop traveling a few months...BUT...we extended for another year and have based ourselves in Saigon, Vietnam. We both took a long break from making videos to work on some other projects but I'm back at it. I taught high school anthropology for 4 years. It was more like an Anthro appreciation class 😄 but what an amazing job you have! We have lots of food to show

I have the same question! I’m going in two weeks and the weather forecast isn’t looking good for me 😢
