This is a short footage of Yulia playing for the first time on the portable piano keyboard "Piano de Voyage". This video was taken on an August afternoon as we asked for beta testers at Station F campus in Paris. The keyboard is connected to an Ipad and sound is generated by the Garageband App. The sound you hear is the recorded MIDI sequence played by Yulia and mixed back with the video track....

some suggestions/criticisms for improving your product: 1. mechanics of keys are VERY important. cheaper (factory) actions (Fatar, example) might be cost effective, but are cheap and unsatisfying. take the challenge to build your own action, and consult a piano technician for proper specifications : SIZE (and some pianos differ), weight/resistance is important, but so is the weight of the damper bar - which is the #1 difference between a ‘piano feel’ and a ‘cheap synth feel’. 2. if you intend to ‘stack’ the modules, there should be some casing/housing which easily connects to either side to make the portable version of the keyboard sturdier/more protected (essentially ‘not-exposed’). You could even take those wooden side panels (a bit crude) and make them 2 (49version) or 3 (76version) layers tall for each side - perhaps even with the ability to fold downwards to make flat feet for the unit when it sits on a table.
Thanks John for your suggestions, always good to know what people need.
Where can i buy this?
This is just what I’d need. I really would like to learn the piano, but I will find myself traveling a lot in the next couple of years. Therefore I don’t want to invest even 500 euros for a “home piano” that I could rarely play. If this had a dedicated app and weighted keys, and if the price were reasonable, It would be such a hit! I don’t understand why the most famous piano producers haven’t tried to experiment with this idea or cooperate with you in order to make it even better.
OMG how can i find this one 🤩🤩🤩
where is the pedal? can you try it with sustain pedal?
Yesy there's a sustain pedal socket
Are these Arduino based? Or teensy?
So how do I get one?? How is the sound quality? How much does each section weight? How many do you need for 88 keys?
Please let me know more about your portable piano de voyage. Thanks. Bill
Sockets for pedals? for external speakers?
where can buy this?
This is amazing, is the piano touch sensitive?
Amazing! How do I buy one?
Very interesting ! As I can see, there is an app for tablet, for settings, I suppose. But where did the sound come from ? Internal amp and speakers ? Tablet ? Jacks on some HiFi ? Thanks Olivier.
Wonderfull. Congrats.
Loving this. How does a 96 key version work when most modules are set up for 88? Just curious..but love the idea of a Bosendorfer midi especially with those low notes.
Cool! Does the keys have sensitivity?
hello, where can i buy it?
Hi, what was the app you used on the Tablet? thank you
Can I buy it?
Will this ever be available for purchase? I’d love to purchase it.
When will this be available for purchase
Apa di jual?
Love it
Wow. It is getting better. How much do i have to pay? -from Indonesia.
i need this in my life....
btw, have you considered adding a plug in sustain pedal?
will this be for sale anywhere?
Hi. I come from Indonesia. Jakarta City. How much i must pay to get this portable keyboard ? Thankyou.
