Greetings Death to tv; I have this XBOX One that started to refuse to accept new game discs for installation; so I used my second xbox one to locally network transfer that same game installation to my other stubborn unit. Recently I purchased a laser deck for $20.29 for that bluray model disc drive in an attempt to get it to begin installing new games again. Unfortunately after doing that; my unit stopped reading "all discs altogether (game/dvd/audio/discs). Discovered this repair place which supposedly specialized in electronically repairing my units problem; and according to the attempts made on his written piece of paper; he said he switched out lasers about 2 times and also tried 2 other disc drive units; but nothing still recognized the discs (that also cost me $50.00 earnest money for them; which they told me got burned up in their continued attempt to solve my problem). So my question to you sir/maam is; do you have an idea what you think might be going on and do you think this problem can finally be solved? Any help you could afford me would be greatly appreciated. Update!!! Don't even bother, they don't sell drives never have sold new drives for a console. The boards are married to the original consoles. You need to exchange the daughter board inside the drive and put it in the donor drive. Due to how old the system already is, one does not know how many hours the donor drive has and failure is imminent with the donor. The take in or take-up mechanisms wear thin. This video is pretty much outdated. Good procedure though.

It’s just that mine is the first xbox one model and whenever I put a disc in it keeps saying to check my disc when it’s perfectly clean and I’ve been told to turn on a thing in settings that makes it to where I have to change the settings and restart my xbox and put the disc in but I have always had to restart it like 15 fucking times

Hey man, what do I need to do if my drive won't physically pull in a disk?

I sent my xbox one to Ubreakifix. My xbox just stopped spinning the disc. It's really dirty never been cleaned. Ive never dropped it or damaged it. I left it with them to look at they called me up said the disc drive needed to be replaced and would cost me $133 When i asked what exact part was broken. I was told it didn't matter as the whole disc drive would need to be replaced. It sounded super sketchy to me I havent gone to pick it up yet.
