And so the US went into Afghanistan, and in 20 years tried to establish a Democratic Nation. They SUCCEEDED! (read this sarcastically), and left Afghanistan. Democracy. What is it good for?

Well he's completely wrong. Singapore is in a fortunate location as a gobal trade hub, but it's contributed very little to the world compared to similar sized liberal democracies in western countries like finland. Its biggest companies are just overseas banks and other financial institutions.
