Fastest lap of the day and then in the end of second lap a problem with brakes/suspension caused the car to start jumping mid corner which took the tire of the rim

DQF because I have moved the battery to the trunk, more details in the next video. A LOT of fishy things going on, as you can even see in the end of this one, and it got even worse from there... Also, 1 sec faster then everyone else in class and faster then Class 3. which are stock cars over 1.8 liters, I love this Mini...

It's been totaled in a head on colision after 6 months, converted to N55 xDrive and then blown up, so not that great 😅

I got one 2008 and that is enough way more then enough Replacing the starter took all dam day and it won’t come out the drive axle blocking It 😭🤬

Junkyard/wreckers? You could try your local BMW shop, maybe they'll know, but I couldn't find the part number, si I would think it's a part of the locking barrel...

I have a r50 i put a almost new factory engine in (20'000 miles) and done some other things, but i def wish i could have Kswapped at that time, its so weird how a small of a car has some room for activities
Yeah, when you remove the battery and plastics around the firewall there is way more room, even though width is a bit limites. And I would love to K swap mine but since it is a race car that puts me in higher class. We'll see what we can do with this engine, if we aren't fast enough there is always that K24 option 😁
Unfortunately, I was unable (too difficult) to put the plastic pin back in for manual opening. Do you think it's serious (and i go in garage) or can I refrain from it?
Well it's a bit risky, if your battery dies and your car is locked, you wont have any way to get in it
I moved my power steering pump into the passenger footwell - for more space.
Would love to do that, but I have to have everything with liquid behind some kind of firewall. It works like this for now, even got the Janspeed style header to work
Matt! By any chance you know how many kg a front seat weights on F20 F21 ?
Uf, I can't remember exactly (might have confused it with Mini's) but I think it was 22-23 kg.
@@mattwillow7 I checked on realoem every part of the seat and weight and I calculate 22-24kg also :))) so that should be the weight

That Mini is mine and it will be sold never, f-in bolts on the underside are so rust free that I feel bad using wrenches on them...

Could P0015 error code be related to this issue by any chance? I have a weird “gravel in a tin can” noise coming from the engine around 1500-2000 rpms I searched around everywhere and couldn’t find it only possible things I saw were the vanos solenoid or the timing chain tensioner?
Does it have to be reset on a BMW computer after fitted?
If you want to do it properly, yes, VANOS adaptations need to be reset
What happens if it’s not reset straight away ? Will it just show a light on the dash until it’s reset
@@AshleyJohnson-j2hno depends on which codes are active, but even if it does go off it will probably turn it on every now and then

You either place the ball part in to the locking barrel and try to put the acctuator in, that's how I managed to do it. Or put the pin in the acctuator and try to stick the ball in to the barrel, either way it's hard and fiddly to do, after doing it 5-6 times I still don't have and easy answer 😶

Hi there thanks for posting this I'm thinking of doing this to my r60 would the codes be the same or do you know where I can find the codes
R60 is an older car, equivalent to E chassis BMWs, so you can't code it with esys

Looking good, a lot of rust around the front is caused by the windscreen draining water into the the space behind the wings, you can fit drain spigots and hoses to divert it to the floor rather than through the van structure , might save you work in the future 👍
Could I go stage 2 on an n13 engine with a stock m135i pre lci intercooler? Either way... which intercooler would you recomend to on this engine for a stage 2 tune?
Well depends where you arfrom and what the climate is like. For me it was too small in the summer ( that's with 38+ °C ), car would get heat soaked and cut power, so I would go aftermarket if I was doing it again.

Have a spare engine 😂 I died!
Well I had 7 of these N13 cars ( ok, one was a Citroen THP ), only one car was trouble free engine wise. We had 5 with VANOS fault, 3 with high oil consumption, 2 blown cylinders, 1 headgasket/carbonisation, 2 timing chains, 1 oil pumo chain... Yeah, it's a good idea to have a spare engine if you want to daily drive them 😅
Did anyone manage to find what code was required to get the rest of the buttons to work (249 / 544 provides the multi function + cruise) ?
Missing information from Matt's video is - you need to code the HU_ENTRYNAV. It's this ECU that handles the steering wheel navigation / phone buttons.

That was the plan, but you need to change too many things to make it work, steering column being the biggest hastle
How did you get them in nobody shows
You enter from underneath, wiggle around until it's fully in there, once in place you'll need few minutes to screw it... And then you are done 😝

After a 1.6 thp rebuild with new pistons and new rings i messere on both 4 cilinders 9bars, its not so high bud i think when i drive 1000 miles it shut be 10.5 bars
Probably one of the best sounding r50s I have heard. What exhaust is this? I want to get a header no cat but wonder how it will sound through stock exhaust.
It's a custom 2.5" exhaust I made, just straight through resonator and small straight through rear silencer. We had to put stock header and cat back on for the racing class it's in, now it's not that raspy in high RPMs, it sounds deeper, so I would assume with stock exhaust, header and no cat you can expect same note just raspier and louder in higher RPM

I installed the same way as you did in this video I can hear a noise from the rear sounds like something is loose but only on bumpy or uneven roads with windows down I checked all the bolts which was removed and they was all tight Also installed new sway bar end links and noise is still there any idea what this could be ?

I got this style headers for my mini. And let’s just say I also had issues with fitment, long story short the flex pipe area broke after 3 months. I rather spend the extra for the xforce headers . I still haven’t installed them
I love xforce 4-2-1 design, but in EU they are more than double the price
