Bobcat + Coyote Standoff at Mission Trails
Bobcat and coyote stand off at Cowles Mountain at Mission Trails Regional Park. It is very uncommon for a coyote to chase its prey up a tree. They are not known to be aboral like the fox. However, it appears that the trunk of the tree is partly horizontal, giving a coyote some chance of navigating its way to the bobcat. Why it wants to approach the bobcat is unclear.
