If you not select seed only it will do complete pattern all side. But with seed it only pattern one horizontal and one vertical side. That is the main difference

@@CADDEngineer Just wanted to put into my own words for others since I was still confused. For example, Imagine a simple cube and using the "Linear Pattern" tool in both X and Y directions. You specify 2 additional instances in each direction to form a 3x3 grid (9 total instances). Here, the "pattern seed only" option would avoid filling in the ones that are hanging in-between, forming an "L" shape. In this case, there 5 total instances (2 up, 2 right, and the original ).

Instead of filling in all instances to create a full 3x3 grid, it only replicates the original feature and the instances directly in line with it (along the X and Y directions). This leaves you with that 'L' shape pattern you mentioned, where you get the original plus the 2 instances in both directions, making it a total of 5 instances. And also like in solidworks we can't change the parent model, in the NX and CATIA is that ryt?

@@CADDEngineer yes brother I have, everything is working well. Whenever I try to open geometry file, it automatically converted to DM..but I want to use Spaceclaim. do you know anyway i can solve this issue? ( thank you for your kind helping response💙)

Tools ---> Geometry Import ----> change to space claim that is the only way to change it

Yes you can change settings if it is on Design modeler

There is no such Direct command is available .. But you can do in this case . 1. First delet the fillet from the sketch 2. Than apply trim command .. corner option .
