A friend gave up on his Pacashred so I took the problem to my Man Shed group. The equipment is clearly not designed to be quickly dismantled and mechanically serviced. After debate we decided that drilled through holes, with nuts & bolts, would be better than tapped, threaded holes in the casing, given its demonstrated fragility. I used a piece of 1/2 inch steel plating with 5 bolts. It is now working fine! Two days of heavy use. Thanks for the video which encouraged us.

HI.I Use 3D lace Adhesive Spray and you can clean off with Isopropylalkohol then you donot have a mess on your hot bed. From Brian west germany

Very good advice on where to buy tools. I use WARCO, ARC, RDG, or the actual manufacturer. Making your own small tools is also a good learning opportunity. This is where the blondihacks channel is a good source. You use a WM16 mill which is where I found this channel. I own a WM14 which is just a bit small and horribly noisy so splashed out on a WM16B and am spending time figuring out how to best fit a DRO.

Nice looking boat. I assume that is a water pump lying near the battery box. I like the idea of 3D printing the letters.
