If you want the gig, then get that wig! If you like the groupies and want a rub, than get that Rug! If you are thinning, and your bandmates saying you have to leave, then run out and get that weave! And then when you go rehearsal, tell them to admire the reversal!

Can you imagine the early sixties British invasion bands having a guy in the band with a horseshoe shaped male pattern balding look? I mean there would be no way in hell that would happen! Hair is part of the "rock star" uniform. And you have to, or had to, be in uniform to be on stage for certain genres of the time. Now you have all these shaved headed tattoo infested types of "uniforms" on stage. Thank god for that change balding guys must have said!

Sorry, fella, but Maiden were never punk metal. The songs that Paul wrote were heavily influenced by British glam rock. Now Paul had a brilliant falsetto which went brilliantly with his raw voice. Name one punk singer that sang with a falsetto. As for fantasy stuff, Paul wrote the lyrics to Remember Tomorrow and Strange World which are fantasy type songs. Running Free is influenced by Gary Glitter. Killers, another Paul written song, was pure heavy metal. I appreciate you like what you like, but you have contradicted yourself so many times. And Paul sang AOR music directly after leaving Maiden.

Past their prime? 99.9% of even successful bands have a 'prime' of about 3-5 years. Ridiculous to state a band shouldn't keep doing it past their prime. Also, hardly any band has the money that you think. Several interviews where Mick Mars is talking about he had to sell a lot of his amps and guitars in the Mis to late 90s just to pay the rent. If you haven't seen these interviews, it's an quick search.

It’s much more than ego. Bob Dylan (Zimmerman) let it slip. It’s a Satanic deal. He “made a deal with the chief commander” and is “holding up his end of the bargain”. He made a deal with Satan. This spiritual warfare is 100% real. You can definitely see it in the music videos. You need to brush up on your Freemasonic / Satanic symbolism. They communicate through signs and symbols.

Hey Mike, thanks for sharing! I agree 💯 with your take on Aerosmith. Their 70’s (and best, imo) stuff was nothing like what they did in the late 80s/early 90s. They became a totally different band when they started writing with outside writers like Desmond Child, Diane Warren and Marti Frederiksen. It was a very commercially successful period for them and put them in heavy rotation on radio and MTV, but they lost me as a fan. I think of Done With Mirrors as the last “true” Aerosmith album. BTW, my vote for Greatest American Rock Band: DLR-era Van Halen!!

Almost went wild until I read the question a second time. I will agree Skynyrd hands down. Areosmith great party band their second coming was a band that had others write their hits. Skynyrd was a professional outfit, no doubt. One More For The Road was probably the best live album ever done. I think Skynyrd is probably Americas Zeppelin! I love Cheap Trick, but again, it's very pop imo! I would pick a band like Boston over CT. Then there is Chicago great band, but all over as far genre. I could put J.Giles in there, but again very pop. So there is no one I can think of no one better than the Southern boys.

From 'Pump' onward, every single Aerosmith album sounds like a Desmond Child, Holly Knight and Diane Warren, 'Best Of', album. Imo, Aerosmith almost had 2 careers. First, they were a great American rock band. In their second career, they were a soundtrack, FM radio ballad band. I was born in 81..so the first Aerosmith album that I got when it came out was Pump. That is probably the reason why I have never been a huge Aerosmith fan. I've listened to all of their stuff..but I was never a huge, super fan.
