Very Rare 16mm I bought over 30 years ago which brings you behind the scenes during filming to this classic Horror movie which was Roman Polanski’s first film ! love listening to young Mia talk in this (the flower 60’s were the best) I recorded this straight from the 16mm with my phone📱giving it the original 60’s projector feel 📽

Aurora part 1- Many years after the Aurora Plastics company closed at 44 Cherry Valley Road West Hempstead NY, I filmed the building from the ground to the roof to the interior ! These aren’t the best videos but since everything is gone today it’s better then nothing ! At the time of this video a shipping company was using the old offices and factory. Harry in the video was the Aurora Maintenan...

Chiller Theatre’s Dead Elvi Roc The Munster Theme with Garage A Go-Go-Girls doing the Batusi Dance ! incredible and rare Monster👻 Psychedelic🔮 Halloween performance on 10/27/2007 in a creepy hidden old building in NYC fixed up like a back issue of Famous Monsters all for the incredible wedding of Gary & Linda Paruolo 🎂 🧛🏻♂️🧟♀️ Video by MonsterMaz 👮🏻♂️
I guess there were a hole drivers on long island then too, today it’s a real disgrace! Lunatic impatient drivers who drive like they are taking an injured person to the hospital, but they are just coming home from work!
Her monologue in the phone booth... 🥰 I'd love to know how it was done. It was in a real NY street, but the booth was fake. So she had no real dialogue with "Doctor Hill". I also doubt that she had a teleprompter....😁Had Mia learned the whole text by heart? Or was a pre-recording of the voice actor played IN the booth, to which she reacted, more or less improvising? Note that from the moment she enters the booth and picks up the phone and dials, there are no cuts in this scene. The appearance of William Castle is part of the whole take. She had a later call in the Bramford with a certain Donald Baumgard who had suddenly become blind, so Guy was given the change on his role in the stage play. This call was on studio set location, Mia vaguely recognized the voice, but couldn't place it. (her confusion shows, exactly what Polanski wanted) It was actor Tony Curtis, they told her after the call scene... After all these years, it still dazzles me how professional the production was, and how clever everything fitted together! There are gaffes and bloopers (look up IMDB), but literally every movie has them. Nonetheless, I find Rosemary's Baby in all regards the most perfect motion picture EVER made.
Omg she sounds so stoned but it was the free love Era so good for her!
I wouldn't have worn the tannis root necklace.
I would have paid a fortune for it! The "touched by Mia Farrow" original; later there were copies made for collectors I read somewhere. (like the Star Wars sabers) But at the street crossing, she drops it in a sewer grate. Were there copies of the prop? A fish line to retrieve it? Or wasn't it needed anymore because all the scenes where the charm is visible were already done? Questions, questions!
She should have suspected something was wrong when Minnie told her the dead girl had been given it as a gift. What I really could not understand was how Rosemary kept eating those cakes and drinking those drinks with the weird stuff in them AFTER she suspected her neighbors of being up to evil deeds!
@@nassauguy48 The Castevets were sort of ersatz parents for her. Initially. At one point, Ro stopped eating and drinking Minnie's stuff. What remains unexplained is that the pains she had promptly vanished. The cookies and smoothies were supposed to benefit the devilish embryo, right? So this seems to be a little hole in the script. Particularly because when she was well again, she took Minnie's home made products again, so I assume that Minnie left certain ingredients out.... I still have the paperback, I looked it up, but it's exactly like in the movie: she gives a party, endures the worst pain so far, guests are worried about her appearance, when everybody has left she has a row with Guy because she wants a second opinion from Dr Hill, but he doesn't want her to go to a "nobody doctor". What Rosemary's relationship with her parents was remains unclear so far. During that disastrous party, only her sister was one of the guests. I think that her parents passed away, or there was a fall-out because they didn't agree to her marrying Guy. I really want to re-read the novel now!
Mia Farrow is so beautiful
I filmed this storm from my balcony at home in Middlesex, NJ. This storm turned out to be a supercell.
Looks like a whole lot of drinking been going on
Lots of balled tires on these cars.
The whole town turned out for some of these!
Notice the busted windshields in front of the driver. I feel naked if I don't wear my safety belt.
Because of these accidents cars today have safety features such as Safety Glass & Seat Belts and much more
Amazing rare collection of these events - quality archival of John Drennan's photography works.
I know there's the whole security issue and such. Even seat belts were in their infancy, they were simple... What the hell. Cars crashed, overturned...And most of the time they were aligned, easy to repair. I'm a fan of that era. ❤
Did you see how worn out some of the tires is
Not ONE Picture, was "GRAPHIC", this trigger, little soyboy, must be a fearful Gen Xer.
Sheet metal boxes on wheels!😬
I see that the car v tree battle has been ongoing for decades now.
The backgrounds have become as fascinating as the subjects. Often more. Wish we could go back to dressing with style.
The guy looks like he's calling for a tow truck 7:08 lol
Look how well these were built ! Not too many totals. But today, there all totaled.
No crumple zones in those days, the occupants absorbed all the force. :)
Pretty solid cars. But with no seatbelts, many were seriously hurt or killed in these accidents.😅
Sadly very true 😢
the pans are boring. I hope you didn't have to do them by hand.
Just used a program, this is only the first 100 I have much much more
Looking beyond the tragic nature of these wrecks, this is an amazing time capsule of images from LI, and life in general. People didn't dress like slobs back then. And for the most part, the photography is absolutely stunning. Deep contrasts and clear-as-day focus. Mr. Drennan, thank you for your work.
Thank you , I fully agree just wait till I make more videos I was going to make a book but figured if I can get a lot of subscribers I would rather show Johns best Long Island photos this way
4:45 Sign in the window for Rheingold Beer! "My beer is Rheingold, the dry beer. Ask for Rheingold wherever you buy beer."
Very cool Pat ! Keep doing what you do.
Thanks, will do!
How many telegraph poles ,were injured in the making of this video?
Now that these photos are on public domain, I will never request permission to use them. The cats are out of the bag.
😂
I was waiting for the graphic part...
Most of these are literally fender benders! Lol
No fat people.
ANTES SE ACIAN COCHES CON CHAPA AHORA SE ACEN COCHES CON CARROCERIAS DE CARTON QUE CON UN GOLPE SE DESACEN SON CAJAS CON RUEDAS
The ones with minimal damage are quite eerie - there's still a good chance that somebody was killed or injured (if you saw a broken steering wheel or smashed windscreen, it was almost certain.) There is even one where two people are seated in the rear of a badly damaged car...they appear to be alive and uninjured!
ccol archive but never viewed anything graphic - unless its the trees, houses, and fences that might be over the top for certain individuals
Yea, TH-cam is pretty touchy about domicile violence, "fence"ual assault and treebuse.
Not TOO much Graphic stuff here-as far as showing the Victims, at least. "These Americans" on google, shows black and white still photos of MVA victims, from the 1930s-1950s. It's Gruesome...like those Driver's Ed Scare Films (which are Free on youtube.)
I noticed in every photo that all the beer bottles and cans were already picked up before the photos were taken 🤔
4:43 Bugatti spotted
In the 30s and 40s bumpers were spring steel and could take a lot of abuse. Car bodies were heavy gauge steel too. The biggest danger was lack of safety glass and no seat belts.
The heavy gauge bodies were part of the Danger. The car wouldn't be totaled, but the People inside would be MUSH! Nowadays, they us unibody construction, and front and rear crumple zones. Front and side airbags, of course, have also reduced the Death Rate.
... and riding on 'U.S. Baldies' - the #1 culprit that led to most of the wrecks
@@nemesisxrox6773 Why we have Radials now
I just can't watch this.
Apparently they drew a crowd back in the day because there are plenty of people standing around waiting for y to be picture to be taken…
... they drew a crowd since most couldnt simply view them any other way
Need more "Signal Seven" shots. (look it up) graphic accidents we had to watch in drivers education in high school.
Yea just testing the waters with this, I own a very large collection of John Drennan negatives and photos 😇
Удивительно в то время скоростей не было а дураки на дорогах уже тогда были😂
I expected more foul weather in the accidents. Only saw a few with snow and another few with wet pavement. Great video of old cars.
Thanks I have more I want to post just waiting for my subscribers to go up…..
01:39 what are we looking at? Looks pretty well parked!
Some are sadly involved in hitting pedestrians
I cringe when I see these cars with heavy damage. Thick, very strong sheet metal / frames that absorbed no energy, just passed it on the the passengers who had no seatbelts
Also the plate glass windows , because if this we have safety glass windows today
Nothing a cutting torch, baling wire and a little polish couldn't fix on some of them. From the looks of some of them i think.my ex-wife might have been driving..... ( this part I'm not joking 6 cars in 4 yrs )
😂
Looks like that poor tree 1:46 was hit many times, and kept healing.
Had these been Kia’s and Hyundais, no one would give a fkuk.
America's gasoline contains ethanol ssid to be 10% but most likely more for profits,You have gasoline Vapors you have ethanol Vapors Vapors from ethanol are 55% more explosive than the vapors from gasoline. Notice none of these cars were affected by fire. Go through this past Year's news and notice all the cars that caught on fire in crashes. People get knocked out by the airbags and then they're incinerated in their car before the jaws of life can come extract them from the crumple Zone at least a lot of these people were able to climb out even if they were unconscious for 20 or 30 minutes they had time the EPA won't give you any time these days they got to turn 76 octane into 87 by adding ethanol to it for humongous profits. Meanwhile 92 octane gas with no ethanol in it is $3 a gallon in Russia.they are not having fires in car crashes in the same exact cars Lexus Hyundai bmws ect. Democrats are deadly ethanol farmers are deadly.63 major fires at ethanol gasoline mixing facilities i. The 2000s that bridge burned down due to explosion of tanker filled with ethanol enhanced gasoline. Killed the driver destroyed the bridge to help the corn farmers sell alcohol for fuel because the EPA pollution madness and profits for lobbyists. Put YOU IN DANGER

I wonder how many of these were people’s first time behind the wheel learning how to drive.
7:10, looks like he’s calling for help with his cellphone 😀
