There are documented cases of DCS happening after diving to a mere 6 meters. This is rare of course, but it has happened, so I would not write it off as completely impossible.

I dived about 7 times onto an up to 8ft deep swimming pool, and now my chest feels a burning sensation. Should I worry?

It's a certification not a qualification! Thats probably the best sentence I've heard on here. I know many people who rushed from OWD to AOWD to Divemaster and just have the minimum amount of dives. I prefer to have a OWD diver with 50+ dives who wants to go further than someone who rushes everything. I think its important to learn how to walk before you run. Great video 🤙🏽

You can’t dive on pure oxygen 🚫🌬 It’s a common misconception, especially among beginners. 🧯😮‍💨 Nope, it’s not an oxygen tank you’re lugging around underwater. Your scuba tank holds air, and that air is pretty much the same as what you’re breathing right now - about 21% oxygen. 🧐 So why not 100% oxygen? Well, it all comes down to something called partial pressures, but don’t worry, we’ll keep it simple. The safe partial pressure for oxygen is up to 1.4, which equals 140%. For example, at 60 meters (that’s about 197 feet, but who’s counting?), the safe partial pressure for 21% oxygen in air is 7 bar 👨‍🏫🤓 ❗But here’s the thing - you won’t find yourself diving that deep on regular air anytime soon, and it’s usually beyond your recreational license limits.
